Ill take you to a nice restaurant in koreatown!

The plan is to do my time in Koreatown and then FINALLY get my US driver's license and move a bit further out to a house. The BF likes that plan too since he would actually be able to park then.

First rule of living in LA is always always get a place with parking. K town is a bitch to park but a lot of the streets around there are at least permit.

This is something I have learned. I don't drive, so I didn't think it would be that big a deal and be worth the slightly lower rent. I didn't even think about my BF not being able to park. We are asking about a monthly spot at the garage a block down.

About 25 minutes on the bus in rush hour and 15 if it isn't rush hour. So, not bad.

XBIZ used to have them long ago out in Hollywood, but it has been years.

There are birthday parties, hockey games . . . stuff like that.

Awww...I'm around if you have questions. But I'm pretty sure JM knows everything.

OY 09-20-2012 02:09 PM

Welcome and congratulations Sarah!

Btw, the kimchi you get in some of the awesome restaurants in KoreaTown is great! Embrace it, as it is a nice part of town to live in until you get your own house.

And btw, please do NOT move to the valley - ever!

atom 09-20-2012 02:12 PM

Congrats Sarah! We've met and chatted multiple times over the years but have yet to do any biz together. Lets change that!

Congrats, bestie! I owe you everything. Thank you for pulling me back into the side of the business that I love!

Thank you, Kelly. I am very glad to here. Even if I am a bit too short to reach the air conditioning.

Trying to keep me away from you? lol.

I haven't ever really properly tried kimichi. I am so bad at spicy food that it has scared me.

Atom, my ice fishing friend, I can think of nothing better.

Either let me know the best way of contacting you or drop me a line/message.

P.S. if you have any PCBBS pens left, I'll take them off your hands. I am down to my last two.

Kimchi, and Korean food in general is great. Spicy, yes, but really good.

Never lived in the Valley, and never will. Westside baby!

KingNigel 09-20-2012 03:21 PM

I am addicted to BCD Tofu House on Wilshire in K Town. They have soup that is bubbling when it comes to your table and is open 24 hours. Amazing!

I've only been in the Valley a few times and I didn't really feel a huge draw to live there. I am a city girl.

Hey, I feel all local because I know where that is located. I'm on Serrano but Tofu House is right near my bank. I am going to have to check it out.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Guess you didn't speak to Joe Cayetano.

I'll give you a shout tomorrow and see if we can get this worked out.

He no longer works here. So, no I did not. Which means it does sound like a good place for us to speak to each other and come at it afresh.
