But you're assuming I'm blaming a political party.

I did, on very limited info. And you know what happens when you assume....

Why is it people don't happen to remember how that shit ACTUALLY went down?

And Obama got Obamacare done in 2 years. 1/2 of a term. I'd say that's plenty to get done in a term.

You just named one thing. But if you think that is a lot that even exaggerates my point even more. If good things are happening they should be able to stay in longer.

Obamacare isnt changing this country around. So what needs to be done for things to change couldnt be done in 1 term. Anyway. I hate politics. This is retarded. Im going back to 'Would you hit it threads'.

Not sure if my memory is right but I thought term limits that are not an amendment in the constitution were ruled illegal by Supreme Court

Don't let any of them stay in Washington more than one term.

Thats what Mexico has but a 6 year term.

Here's a great example of the 'revolving door'. Phil Gramm was a powerful senator who chaired the Senate Banking Committee.
  • He co-sponsored the bill that repealed Glass-Steagall, The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (aka the Citigroup Relief Act:disgust)
  • He also led the charge on the Commodities Futures Trading Modernization Act, which made it illegal for the govt to regulate derivatives like Collateralized Debt Obligations and Credit Default Swaps. These are the 'weapons of mass destruction' that nuked our economy to the tune of $12+ Trillion.

His gig after leaving office? Vice-Chairman of UBS.

That's how it works....

Pick them at random like jury duty and then execute them at the end of their term.

Problem solved.

mineistaken 01-07-2013 05:30 PM

and why the heck would a republican initiate that? Do they think that Obama would have less chances than brand new democrat candidate?

The wiki page on that is eye opening isn't it.

Same guy wins the election over and over and his opponent only gets 3% of the vote... haha
