very true but that holds for all cars..

and I'm not really sure there is anything wrong with the perception of the vette... we all know what the vette is and isn't ... seems like just a few TV reality stars and some other dipshits are confused mainly

just like 1 of the reviewers said, if you have 120 grand to drop on a fukn vette, you prolly have enough to get the 458.

exactly. the vette would need to 60k. At 100+ im not buying an american sports car unless it's a cobra

Just depends on how far you're taking it? There are bikes at bonneville that have land speed records...just as there are jet fueled drag cars that well never know how fast they can go. No way a Bette is more fun than a sportbike tho.. Deals gap, a track day or just wailing down an interstate two wheels wins every time.

1. i don't know what this has to do with my comment but i don't disagree. i doubt chevy would find enough buyers of a $200k+ super car with leaf springs and vinyl seats. :1orglaugh

2. which the stig?

Fuckin' awesome. Those bikes fucking rock.

I'd have a bike, if I wasn't such a pussy. I witnessed a horrific bike accident right in front of me years ago and can't forget it.

i agree. certainly not the black one.

Speed comparisons like this are fun, but they try to pair the top speed of the car with the price, as if speed was the only thing of value. It's not.

Oh fuck off.

Everyone likes different things - deal with it. Fucking bike faggots are worse than mac fanboys.

What's the perception of the Nissan GTR in America? because that's what is touted as a bargain supercar here.

I'd never drop that kind of cash on a car that's fucking ugly, IMO. It's an impressive machine, though. In the USA, it's sometimes referred to as "Godzilla."

They can definitely mix it up with the supercars, however for 200k they are way over priced here. Shame really, would lvoe to see more of them around as they are an amazing car.

I rode bikes for 30 years and I now prefer the vette. just me though..

not really sure because I don't really see that many, and don't know people that drive them... I'm sure it's a great car... see a lot's audi 8's around though

:1orglaugh:1orglaugh, I spanked every sport bike that ever tried....easy.

AllAboutCams 01-26-2013 06:06 PM

i would rather a Audi

livexxx 01-26-2013 08:51 PM

at the end of the day you would have a cheaper car , compared to a ferrari

seriously is not about the performance, otherwise you could buy a 10yr old Yzr 1000 and blow both away. You really think that the guy near my office in a chrome wrap veyron cares that a vette is faster, his wife has a matte white one and has probably used it about 3 times last year as she prefers the maybach

You need to go to the isle of man for some humility

About double the price.

ottopottomouse 01-27-2013 05:34 AM

Starts again tonight in the UK :)

John-ACWM 01-27-2013 09:48 AM

I'd have to drive them to make a review :) but that money difference makes the difference.

Godzilla is fast and I believe in one of those speed vision shows, it showed it destroying the Corvette. The problem is the GTR resale value drops like a brick.

In my opinion, I would rather go for something meaner and more power than the Ferrari 458 for around the same price. My choice would be the Lambo LP 600-4 Superleggera

ottopottomouse 01-27-2013 11:46 AM

I was going to look for the Nurburgring time last night but I fell asleep. Surprised the GTR is slower actually.
