not an insult at all .... just the facts... models are lot more difficult that windows 8, AND it's the very same issues everyday... like your car is a total piece of shit and every time you go out to drive to work, it's dead... every fucking day no matter what you do...and 40% of the time when you get to work.... it's not there... your job is a breeze :2 cents:

Same here, XP on desktop, 7 on laptop (as it came with it).

I did not try Vista, but people say that you better run 7 or XP than Vista.

Dude, Win7 is way better than XP, assuming your PC isn't really old. You really can't use more than 2 gigs of ram for example with XP but you can with Win7.. Not to mention it's 64 bit.

There is zero reason to not use windows 7 over XP unless you have a really old PC.

Microsoft is reliable at fucking up every other OS..

Win95 = shit
Win98 = improvement but still was bad
Win2000= wasn't bad
WinME = worse than shit
Xp = Good
Vista = Shit
Win7 = Great improvement
Win8 = Shitty usability but has some speed improvements.

Because vista was so shit, places like dell were still allowing you to to have xp, right up until win7 came out.

But looking at them now, they all run 8, without the option of 7 preinstalled.

I meant that you could buy laptop without OS preinstalled and then install win7 separately.

Some people still want at least one decent XP machine to run a favorite program or two that isn't compatible with anything newer.

Yep but having to drop $100+ for old software annoys me. I only want a cheap laptop, as I work off a desktop mainly. So if the laptops only $500, to pay $100 for win7 offends the 1/4 jew in me.

Well I assumed that laptop without Windows preinstalled would cost less. Like 500$ with windows and something similar 450$ or 420$ without. I mean you also PAY for win 8 that comes preinstalled, its not for free.

Doesnt really happen that way though, the preinstalled seems to only add about $10 to the price. volume oem discount pricing.
