If you´re mentally unhinged to start with, it´s not wise.

One of my friends smokes a lot of weed (probably more than anybody else I know, from morning till when he goes to sleep) and he is a fanatic about how clean his car is. He keeps it spotless, inside and out.

I've never been so scared to death in my life. And then, I told fof some terrible things from the past. Shit I DO NOT talk about. Oh and THEN she tried to get me to fuck her since I won't fuck and she wants me to I guess she thought it'd be a good time to try

But I was so scared I wouldn't even let her blow me AND I wouldn't let her leave for some reason. Then I didn't want her to go to sleep.

Man, that was horrible. I kept watching the clock to figure out how long it'd been and asking how long it'd last. Apparently I was trying to act like I was fine but I sure was scared to death.

It takes a-lot to scare me. But wow. I never want to do that again.

Why does everything have the wrong effect on me? If I take adderall instead of getting energy I calm down and sit still, if I try weed it makes me scared and all upset instead of calm and peaceful like most people

Lord knows what the fuck real drugs would do to me but I never want to find out

For some people. It takes away anxiety...others it will put you into full blown panic attack pass the fuck out thinking you are having a heart attack mode.

Yep yep yep! This is what it does to me. It's been a running joke for a while whenever I'm around it because someone will always make a reference to a Usenet thread I started in '96 titled something like "I smoked weed and I think I'm dying" and the thread got over 20,000 replies over a 10+ year period.

Weed affects people in different ways. For some it makes them feel good and relaxed, for others it makes them feel like shit.

Weed is horrible. I don't do well with any drugs. Probably a good thing I could never be a drug addict. I don't do well with alcohol either as you all have seen.

A few years ago my son had some friends visiting from out of province. They smoked some weed and one of the guys got so fucked up we had to take him to the hospital. They said he had schitzoprenia brought on from smoking the weed. He spent a week in the hospital here then was sent by ambulance back home. It was really bad.

I've become schizophrenic from smoking weed.

I think the best advice would be not to smoke if your life is in a shit place. It just amplifies your self doubts.

Most of my income is freelance, and I try not to smoke when I'm between jobs.

Yeah yeah now your reply will be show me some stats and i won't be able to find them because i don't think they keep track of such a thing anywhere.
But anybody with common sense (that excludes most stoners ofcourse) knows that this must happen a lot. Just like people who drive drunk.

Yup, now we get 10 replies from stoners how driving with being totally fucked up is extremely safe.
It's always the same bs with this group of people.
The sad part is that if anybody should know how weed can fuck you up to the point where you can barely stand on your legs anymore, it's a stoner. Funny enough the same group who ignores this or actually denies it.

I was gonna type that it's like they live in some kind of fantasy world. Well, it's actually quite true when you think of it.

MrMaxwell 04-07-2013 12:54 AM

I've heard that for years, driving while stoned is okay and all of that. I don't buy it. When I tried that shit, I had to work real hard to make it over to somewhere to piss. Heh.

The last few years I'm hearing that some places in socal are even giving roadside tests for weed and drugs now. Some kind of eye test.

One thing I will say, though, some of the tests they use are fucked up. They should always be forced to also do a blood test. Always. I say allow people to take that if the pft says they're dirty... then, if they test goes against the person make them pay for it. If not, let the jurisdiction pay for it.

Hell you'd be surprised what the fuck I can handle

Tornado half a mile away windows blowing out = I'm all cool
Tire blowout at over 80mph sounds like a shotgun blast = I'm all cool
Hurricane coming and nowhere near shelter = I'm all cool
Tire blowout at over 90mph everyone else is screaming = I'm all cool
First day at an all black school half everyonese size = I'm all cool
Someone is coming over to collect money I don't have = I'm all cool
Ducking pot shots = I'm all cool

Hit some weed = I'm scared like a little girl and think I'm maintaining but pretty sure everyone can tell and wants to kill me

SlammedMedia 04-07-2013 05:35 AM

ABSTRACT

Risk analysis studies to investigate the contribution of drugs to accident causation are limited. We have used a method based on establishing the responsibility of a driver to investigate the involvement of drugs other than alcohol in 1052 fatally injured drivers. The proportion of drivers deemed to be responsible in a drug-free group were compared to drivers with target drugs found in their blood stream.

Drugs (including alcohol) were detected in 49% of the drivers. Alcohol was detected in 36% of the cases, whilst drugs were detected in 22%. 13% had only drugs detected. The remaining 9% of the population involved a combination of drugs and alcohol. The order of prevalence of drugs were marijuana (112 cases), amphetamines and related stimulants (35), benzodiazepines (34) and opiates (34).

Drivers in whom only opiates were detected had an odd's ratio of 2.4, whilst marijuana cases provided a relative risk of 0.6. Drivers in whom stimulants were detected gave an odd's ratio of 1.4 whilst benzodiazepines gave an odd's ratio of 1.0. By contrast the odd's ratio for alcohol was 6.8.

Drivers with higher than therapeutic concentrations detected represented 22 drivers (2.1%). Most of these drivers were found to be culpable. Multiple drug cases also tended to be culpable. The culpability rate in this group was 89% compared to 70% in drug-free drivers.

These data show that only a small proportion of impaired drivers are drug effected, the remainder being impaired by alcohol. The relative risk for psychoactive drugs is also not uniform, with marijuana use providing the least effect on risk, whilst opiate use seems to provide the largest increase in risk compared to the other drug groups studied.

dyna mo 04-07-2013 06:43 AM

this::::::

Quote:

It was of some interest that cannabis tended to show a negative effect on relative risk when other drug groups showed an increase. This phenomenon has also been seen elsewhere [Terhune et al, 1992; Williams et al, 1985]. The most likley reason probably relates to the over compensation of marijuana-using drivers on their driving skills. Over compensation may be caused simply by slowing down and avoiding adverse driving situations. These observations do not seem to be related to whether delta-9-THC or 11-carboxy-THC are measured in blood [Terhune et al, 1992; Williams et al, 1985].

Dirty F 04-07-2013 06:46 AM

Amazing what stoners will do to defend their drugs.
EVERY goddamn weed junkie out there knows that weed will totally fuck you up and not one of them has the guts to say driving while being stoned is completely stupid.

Nope, because weed is some kind of miracle drug and NOTHING bad can ever be caused by it. NOTHING.
If you talk with a stoner long enough he will get to the point where he will claim that driving while stoned actually is less dangerous than driving sober.

That kind of behaviour is just so fucking sad.

I can't stand stoners.

CyberHustler 04-07-2013 06:48 AM

I'm about as hardcore a stoner as you can get, and I don't smoke and drive.

dyna mo 04-07-2013 06:52 AM

a search pulled up the study that pic references, so i posted the actual results of the study. maybe the researchers are stoners, who knows, but the results are published.
