I don't really understand the US law: this Zimmermann guy now walked off w/o probems, he will live as a free man or new court case will begin against him?

The jury wasn't asked their personal opinion of the case, they were asked UNDER FLORIDA LAW is this person guilty. UNDER FLORIDA LAW he wasn't. Blaming a jury following the states guidelines instructed by the judge doesn't make sense.

He wasn't arrested because under Florida law there was no crime. Same exact reason he was deemed not guilty. So the former police chief was 100% correct.

That'd probably be the only way. At least per that FindLaw link, the statute of limitations is up on it anyways, but who knows...they might find a way to prosecute just to appease the people that feel he should have been found guilty in the Trayvon case.

i don't think there is a limitation on rape. i just looked at a case a man arrested earlier this year for rape he did in 1984. he just died i think a few weeks ago.
