50 "idiots" being upset about the glorification of a killer

sperbonzo 07-29-2013 08:00 AM

Personally, I'm mad about people getting mad at people getting mad about people getting mad about a picture that the people getting mad about the people getting mad are not mad about.

How dare you....

STFU you fucking moron.

WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?

dyna mo 07-29-2013 08:03 AM

here's another thing i don't think has been considered..

what are those peeps supposed to say instead? they were put on the spot and asked a question about a tragic event and a murderer/bomber put on the cover of what is *generally* considered a music rag.

i think it's more than appropriate response, they certainly can't say *thumbs up!* or i don't care, or wow, cool pic. etc.

the emotions of the event are the 1st that get acknowledged, and commented.

basically, it's human nature to have that be the immediate answer when ambushed with such a sensationalized question.

it's an article. people are not allowed to talk about it? his picture was all over the news. no attacks on them for showing his picture a million times. :2 cents:

As Harmon said - it's called sensitivity. I agree with those "idiots" in Boston who think it's sad and pathetic his face is on Rolling Stone.

I do understand your point. But Had it been my family or friends I would want to make sure that pricks life was as miserable as I could and if having his face on that magazine helps to consolidate the hatred of him in the US, then so be it.

The media loves to use us, why not use them?

Being featured on the cover of Rolling Stone means something. If you read my first response in this thread, you'd know... That's why people are upset. There's famous people who would do anything to be on the cover of the Rolling Stone.. Shit there's a song made about how important it is as a celeb or musician on being on the cover... Then they use that to put this kid on the cover? It's disgusting.

dyna mo 07-29-2013 08:14 AM

the mayor was ambushed by the reporter's question, it was not a pre-scheduled interview on the article.

nevertheless, my comment still goes to answer your question, you did ask a question.

the mayor can't answer the question any other way. that's not him being an idiot, that's you not seeing that.

The Mayor SENT A LETTER TO ROLLING STONE.

If you take the time to send a letter you are not being "ambushed" LOL

i saw an interview of him about it. i am not sure which came 1st the video question or the letter. but again, he is being mayorly. part of his job is to buoy the spirits of his city's people.

you know what i am getting at right? people want to feel good about where they live and they take pride in that, the mayor is a figurehead for that and more even.

So he should have WAITED, read the article FIRST, and THEN decided whether or not to write a fucking letter.

Really though, American's are so over the top when it comes to needing to flip out over everything.

I'm assuming that comment is going to get me killed now.

This is what it's all about!

I just want to bump this thread and state that I stand behind every word I've written in it. You're welcome.

ReggieDurango 04-09-2015 02:53 PM

Here's a timely bump from my insaner days..

I still think rolling stone did nothing wrong!

Bladewire 04-09-2015 06:36 PM

Magazines sometimes put polarizing figures on the cover to get attention. Rolling stone is desperate not to let that falsified rape story they ran as being a factual rape define them. They dug their hole deeper by glorifying the Boston bomber is1s bitch on their cover For buzz. If they keep fumbling like this they will go under.

CDSmith 04-09-2015 06:56 PM

Nothing to argue about as I see it. If you don't like the choice they (RS) made then vote with your wallet.

(as in don't buy their rag any more)

That was all months ago anyway. The issue now with this kid is sentencing. A lot of folks are calling for the death penalty.

He needs life in prison without parol. He then needs to be transferred from prison to prison every 3-6 months across the United States so he will have no stability for the rest of his loser life and to degrade his "fan base" as keeping track of him will become too much of a hassle.

poncabare 04-09-2015 09:25 PM

Rolling stone is a joke, who cares

_Richard_ 04-10-2015 03:11 AM

just heard something about the friend that was executed by the fbi agent in florida.. turns out a few months after the florida event, the fbi agent 'fell out of a helicopter'
