I had two seasons off an HBO Canada reality TV show (2011 & 2012) about me.

It was called, "The Right Hand" and it got very good ratings.

I learned a lot from the process, mainly that reality TV is nothing like you think.

I'd like to see all the conspiracy theorists in one house along with GideonGallery. It would be interesting to see who snapped first.

Last year we were talking to a group out of LA who wanted to do a reality show based on the adult industry. They took about a year to get their stuff together and finally put together a tiny budget to do a test shoot at the XBiz LA show last January.

They showed up, looked around and said "where's all the porn?". This despite telling them a few times that the trade shows are mostly all about the business, but that if they attended a few of the parties they might get to see some boob.

The director / producer / writer / whatever became rather upset. She was really expecting to have to step-over piles of orgies, to see girls fighting with each other for porn shoots, back stabbing, etc. She seemed stunned that porn was a legit business. She didn't know how to make a show out of it, so they packed up and left.

Sounds like they suppose to go to surfer show instead not business,they would be able to see what they were looking for there.

When people find out I build adult websites they immediately get the wrong idea in their head. They tend to think it is a little less cool when I tell them it is mostly me sitting in front of a computer uploading and writing text and most of the conventions and get-togethers are just a bunch of dudes sitting around talking about geo-targeted traffic and other boring stuff.

Apparently they think I am getting blown all day.

My all time favorite response came from a guy who was a friend of my buddy's co-worker. I met him one night at a birthday party for a mutual friend. He owns a small limousine service that he is trying to grow and someone told him I do web design. We start talking about building him a site and he asks me what kind of sites I build. I tell him I do some mainstream stuff, but mostly adult sites. He gets this shocked look on his face and exclaims, "Like, with dicks!?!" I said, "Well, sometimes there are dicks involved." He then said, "I don't want dicks on my site!" I couldn't help but start laughing.

The director you are speaking about must not have had any reality TV show experience.

ALL reality TV shows are either scripted Pawn Stars, Storage Wars, or situational my show, Survivor, Big Brother etc..

Many years ago my girlfriend's sister wanted to watch me work for a day and video it. She left rather disappointed.

Speaking largely from first hand and personal experience, most of the people listed are not even close to worthy. Put the camera on and all you would find is bunch of pale faced pot bellied board personalities that would bore people to tears in real life.

Porno Dan not only proved worthy, he has the show credits to prove it.

And yes, most porn parties are dull listless affairs where people pretend to be macking playboy ballers slinging pussy like pancakes on a hot buttered griddle.

In reality it is a bunch of helplessly horny dudes standing around a couple of worried strippers trying to look sexy wondering which drunk asshole is going to do something totally inappropriate first.

Homegrown has always been first ones naked in the hot tub. Orgies and biz side by side, downside up, and upside down. Friendly hotties and fun times.
