If they polled a genuine random sample it would be +/- 3% on average...

Everything circles something. Just depends on what scale you're talking about. If I said the earth circles other galaxies, I wouldn't be wrong because our earth is part of the milky way galaxy which is part of a supercluster that circles other superclusters of galaxies.
