C4S is a good place for secondary monetization as has been pointed out. There were things you could do to double or triple your sales quite easily but new rules have shut those opportunities.

Neil for some reason holds fast to NOT expanding the number of videos listed on the front page and the way it is now it doesnt benefit the people who update their stores frequently, at best you will stay on page one for an hour. A better move would be to list every studio that has updated on that day and make the listing dynamic but for some reason he always rejects that Idea and says just update more...

I do alright on C4S but not as well as I used to, its still worth doing though....It could be made a LOT better.

As affiliate, I don't promote sites that also sell on clips 4 sale.

Correct. What does it take me to update a clipstore seriously? Ten minutes of real work?

I drag a video into my software to render it, ten seconds the software does the rest. Once done, I drag it into an ftp, what's that? Ten seconds. Once uploaded I check off a few boxes, cut and paste a description from spreadsheet and schedule updates for the day? Yeah, ten minutes of work might be pushing it. If you can make even a few hundred dollars of extra cash per store for ten minutes of work, that is easy money.

It's not needed. You can go to any particular niche, and it will show those stores updated for that day there. Which I would assume is what most people do. I know when I am looking for videos, I only care about my particular niches of interest. Not about a bunch of shit I do not care about.

A lot more competition than the 'good ole days', but even old rerun content still converts. Assuming of course it's a fetish niche. I have heard hardcore doesn't do as well, and is better suited for one of the other sites. That being said, I have always used C4S as secondary income and to drive sales to my pay site. I bounce traffic back and forth for those who come to site, but only want one clip, or those penny pinchers who want hundreds of clips for $30 versus one clip for $10.

I made about 2 sales a day for the first 7 days, when my store was in the New Stores list. After that, not a single sale, despite having updated it almost every day for the first couple of weeks.

How many vids did you add to launch with? What kind of traffic did you get during that first week, and did you notice sales from your paysites going up?

No no no thats not how any of this goes!

AmeliaG 12-31-2014 11:14 AM

I tried the images version and made dickall.

I know a number of models who put clips up there. Most make nothing, but if know one who does well with a lot of JOI and incest stuff.

I hope you don't really believe that.

There isn't a single niche known to man that can't be found on the tubes in mass quantities.

Thats where we disagree....because that is NOT how the site is used and I have years of numbers to prove that. being on that front page as czarina pointed out is the difference between sales and no sales. when I kept my store on the front page for 12 hrs every day I would get 4-5 times more sales plain and simple...it was very consistent and which store didnt matter.

Let's continue this study.... lol

Czarina, how many hours did you spend setting everything up?
How many stores and how many clips are for sale now?

How much money have you been paid?

Do you feel like it has been worth your efforts?

Alice22 12-31-2014 06:13 PM

I am doing good at c4s, but it's a full time work (for big $$ )
A lot of shooting, and a lot of research and a lot of trial and error to find what work the best.

czarina 01-06-2015 02:31 PM

To answer your questions:
My niche is Shemale. I started the store with about 15 clips.
I spent about 3 hours originally to get the store setup. After that, about 15 minutes a day.
I have my minimum set to $500, which I haven't reached yet, so no payment yet.
I don't think it's been worth it, but next week I will add a lot more new videos from what she shot this week. Let's see if that makes it worth my time.
