THE FUTURE
Our focus is changing. Reviews remain the backbone but we are seeing fewer and fewer new sites. For many years we've been kicking out 20+ new reviews a week and over 100 updates for existing listings. We switched focus a few months back and are now releasing less than 10 new reviews every week and shifting our emphasis to updates. People will always want high quality porn and we intend to continue to be a primary resource for them when they're looking to buy.

I'd love to see reviews of models that appear on Clip Stores. Not sure how revshare would work on referrals, unless they paid you to appear in the Rabbit Clips area.

It's the Manwich of Love, one below and one above!

talk about competing for scraps! tell your client nobody is searching for 'sitename review' anymore. or better yet, don't tell them, keep them spending on that :p

Shame you can't be honest and say you are not a review site but an affiliate to a lot of sites.

Like a book reviewer who gets a percentage from the books they review is not a true critic, just a salesmen in disguise.

What difference does it make if they get paid or not, so long as the ratings of the site are not based on how many sales a specific site generates? The entire idea of a review site is to give people an overview of what to expect when they join a site. Because of this, review sites pre-qualify surfers very well by telling their surfers exactly what to expect when they join a site, both the positive and negative.

I don't see the issue myself, unless they are ranking sites in accordance with who pays them most. Then yes, in that case I would say you have a valid argument. But Rabbits has been run with integrity since I have dealt with them so I am pretty certain that's not the case.

Used to check with rabbits reviews, back in the day, before I signed up for any site and of course click through the links. Nice getting a (somewhat) insider story of this.

Admittedly, this is a sticking point. You'd need to look and compare one review to the next... to see if there's some sort of logic being presented. 90 points are set in stone. You either have it or you don't. The rest comes down to placement in the category... usually focusing on content amounts as a base, then up a point or down based on whatever could make a site special.

We list sites that don't pay, as well, but they tend to be smaller sites so you would rarely see them as being able to compete with the production power of a bigger company. It just happens that this usually works in our favor. There's no hiding from that.

I think it's obvious to anyone in this business that the review site model is just a filtering landing page. I wouldn't expect anyone to send free traffic to anyone else.

The highest paying and converting paysite with a crappy members area still doesn't stand a chance of getting anything from Rabbits. Their ranking system has integrity :2 cents:

Yes, but I am saying to the naysayer(s), "So what if you get paid for the reviews". The reviews still tell people what to expect and that's the entire point. I've dealt with you folks for a long time, and I firmly believe the integrity of the reviews is very accurate. As an affiliate, I've used your site to determine starting points on whether a new site is worth promoting. And then when I gain access to the site for promo material, I quickly find that what you reported is accurate. I say job well done.

If I look back there are very few affiliates that have gotten a check every single pay period from every single program we manage since becoming an affiliate of that program. We've had many come close especially using revshare, but rabbits has done it on pps and revshare without fail for over 10 years.

Mantas and Doug are amazing people, for 2 gay guys to dominate the straight paysite review market is something to be extremely proud of. :winkwink:

I'd agree. Still... if you go and compare our reviews with the actual sites... what we say is in there to what's actually in there... i think even you will find complete honesty.

We figured it was our model index, which we had launched the previous year... so we hacked it off, loosing many months of work. It was the right choice.
