One point to keep in mind for anyone who knows this guy is that maybe his account got hacked or bought by a scammer. This is a real dirty and petty and disgusting move but maybe it's not actually the same guy.

THIS is the most disturbing aspect of this scum fuck's actions here. When I read how this thread turned, and then read Candyflip's GF's story (and others) it really hit home that what Yngwie did was beyond the lowest of the low.

There are some things in life I will never, ever find funny or take lightly. Cancer is at the top of the list (along with rape, child abuse and other horrible topics). The genuine concern some people had for strangers and how Yngwie also assumed everyone is gullible is not that surprising - this is the Internet, after all - but to "go there", to a place where Hell exists in real life for very real people, is unforgiveable.

My guess is that he begged his mother to post something for his fake girlfriend and being somewhat skeptical, smelling the familiar scent of his bullshit... she made a general post with a passing mention of the "girlfriend"

Thanks for all the well wishes. Most of the cancer has been removed, so from what we're told...she's almost in the clear. There's the possibility of chemo, should that change...but for the most part, her prognosis is good.

She needs a hip replacement from an on the job injury a few years back. After her horrible shoulder surgery last year, she's dreading that more than anything else.

I have been reading this and I am so glad to see this message, of all of them on this thread, this one warms my heart the most - it has to have been hard as hell on you as well. Some people lose sight of the pain and helplessness you feel when someone you love is facing this and kudos to you for standing tall beside her!! It really does take a lot and takes its toll and takes a big person to go thru it with them!

As a loved one of this scary thing, we've been thru our share of it ourselves so it hits very close to home - My oldest daughter has had a few scares with this and has had to have a few surgeries and many stints in the hospital - and my youngest daughter had a bad scare of this being a possibility this past November/December - so this is scary at best for those of us that care, I can't fathom the fear that the people carrying it are having!

I won't speak to what is going on here, Yngwie will have to answer to his maker if this is a scam, so that's on him and I won't get into that drama - I just wanted to let candyflip know my thoughts were with him - the rest I will stay out of!

Do you really think the police are going to do shit over a couple hundred bucks? Had it been in the 5 figure range probably. 6 figure most definitely.

I can't say for sure one way or the other. You may be right - the dollar figure might not be significant enough to generate interest.

But I plan to contact police on Monday and at least inform them...and generate an incident report number. I'll leave it to them if they choose to act further on it.

They say 28-year-old Kristopher Cook was arrested in Victoria after a tip from the public.

Friends claim they did his work, paid his rent and took him to and from the hospital.

It was only later that friends began to suspect the money wasn't being used for anything medical, and questioned whether the man even had cancer.
