A long time ago at Internext, I met a couple of people who were in various Internet businesses including Psychic chat, and they were pretty successful. After a few drinks, the female half of the couple confessed to me that they also make money scamming people by saying she has cancer.

They would create websites with carefully worded content and photos. Sometimes the photos would be of her, sometimes of other random sick people. Some sites were elaborate and some were single pages, all with ways to donate money.

Her confession was laced with giggles, laughs, and general disdain for the "suckers" who donated. She even bragged that the donations paid for her house and car.

What a bitch.

He PM'd me a phone number to call this girlfriend, so she can tell me the medications she is on over the phone.

I'm not calling, and that makes no sense.

Wants to describe the meds to me (someone who does not know a single thing about cancer medication)on the phone instead of just taking pictures of the meds since I already know their real names anyways

I'm starting to regret even getting myself involved in this, but I thought someone should say something about it being sketchy before people donated without knowing for a fact that it was real

Maybe the painkillers, but the other two no. If you're dying of cancer, there probably some painkillers they get that no one else is going to get. I don't know specifically which ones. I know when my ex's mother died she have about 1000 oxycontin pills in the house because she wasn't taking them.

I cried when the nurses came and disposed of them. They put them in a bucket, filled it with water and dumped them down the garbage disposal. So much money down the drain, literally.

I can get pics of those 3 in minutes, no problem, and don't know anyone with cancer.

My Dad had heart trouble, they gave him.... painkillers.... heart pills... and.... water pills.

It possibly could be if they are not doing anything at all to treat the cancer. Just like everything else, it ends up being something thats not definitive.... so its more of the same from him and he clearly isnt interested in actually trying to prove his claims. He's just being beaten into submission and trying to figure out a next bullshit move.

Still, there would be a mountain of paperwork, oncology reports, biopsy reports, blood work etc etc etc. all definitively proving it.

He has another female family member that actually has cancer. Probably why he isn't worried about trouble with the cops. But cousin does not equal girlfriend and this money he's collecting isn't intended for the cousin.
