Guns are not banned, anyone of age can go and buy one. That's what so many tend to forget, its not about banning just keeping them out of the hands of those who should not have and reducing the ease of access.

And its that ease of access.. that kills so many Americans every year.

Its just baffling to the rest of the world when a few guys with pocket knives attack your country and you change the way every citizen lives there after and shove the constitution right up every American and every other countries ass for ever, but when it comes to guns... everyone is so complacent.

As I've said many times before, I'm not American nor have I ever been there, so I don't understand the gun culture/right to bear arms mindset, and never will. Easy for me to say ban guns etc, but all I have to go on is my own experience, therefore I won't because experience is everything.

That said though, why does this not happen in countries with very strict gun control? Where are all the nutcases with small round candy killing people with it? Of all the sound arguments to use, I don't think that's a viable one.

More police does not equate to no crime, or, less crime for that matter because people are still out to see the world burn. Instead of being emotional and irrational about guns, do some research and educate yourself on the actual statistical data.

While I do support guns, I don't like it when people fall into this senseless idea that no matter what, a gun will protect you. The man came by surprise. Yes, guns can be used to protect yourself in public, but more often than not it's from muggers, rapists, and on occasion to stop another person with a gun (this has happened plenty). Again, doesn't mean that everyone should be armed.


The way to lesson guns in the hands of bad people is at the root. Make it harder to obtain guns. Extensive background checks, extensive psych evals, and also make sure that people take classes on safety and proper use. If you're a gun owner and have kids, teach your fucking kids that they are not toys and are tools to be used properly, don't glorify them. Right now, it is STUPID easy to obtain a gun. Guns are here, nothing that can be done about that. Guns are not the problem, because we will never be able to rid guns from society. The government, and the 'gun nuts' inability to cooperate with each other rather than fear-mongering is the problem. I'm all for guns, but I'm also for stricter requirements on getting them as I feel it's a no brainer. You should prove that you are competent to use one before you own one, period.
