Fat chicks are cool as long as your buddies don't find out

A few years ago I was "obese". I am 5'11" and came in at 255 lbs. I was a huge. I had a full time job that required me to be in the office 10-12 hours a day, plus more work at home after hours, and what little time was left was devoted to my family. When weekends came it was youth sports, football games, and horrible stadium food. Fast food was constant - no time for much else - and during the weekends I wanted to eat a nice meal, not eat like a little bird and have a salad. No problem, just go to the gym, right? Right. So I went to the gym, an hour every morning, for a year straight. Easy. Yet no matter what I did I continued to gain weight. It was Phoenix Forum 2014 when I decided I had had enough. I changed nearly everything about my life. I got up two hours earlier every morning and went running, played basketball, and starting biking. I radically changed my diet and the rest of my lifestyle - I even traded in my Jaguar for Jeep because I wanted to do "go places and do things"; Anything to avoid sitting on the couch watching television. A year and a half later I've lost fifty pounds - This morning I was 205 lbs, a new low weight for me. It's 8:30am PST as I write this; I've already gone running, shot hoops, and gone for a fifteen mile bike ride, and I will ride another fifteen miles tonight. My goal is to be under 200 lbs by the end of the year (very modest goal), and eventually I want to be 170 / 180 lbs. You had better pray that this never happens to you. |

I'm going to have the following for lunch: spinach tortilla wrap, black forest ham, Swiss cheese, mustard, tomato slice, baby spinach Will take about five minutes to make. Somewhere around 400-500 calories. |
I think it's pretty sad people are that overweight, but long as they aren't effecting me, then fuck them.. I think it looks disgusting but to each their own and I think it's a form of child abuse when parents over feed their kids.. But again as long as it doesn't effect me, I mean if people want to ruin their own lives then fuck em..

The weight problem here in Atlanta is unbelievable!! We've got a lot of migration from the poorest parts of the country, i.e. New Orleans and Detroit. On the other hand, we have the most beautiful women I've ever seen... Particularly, black women!

When I first moved here, I left the house at 7:30am in the morning (Keep in mind that not only did I have to get myself ready but also had to get my kid ready, and also had started in on answering emails from home) and then wouldn't get home until 7pm or 8pm, after which I had to deal with my kid's sports routine, homework, playtime, and then yet more work from home. My days started at 5am and ran until 11pm when I didn't have time to watch TV no less prepare a decent meal. It's not a matter of "fifteen minutes to the fast food place". Between leaving work and going to see my kid I don't have time to stop home and spent half an hour cooking - It's fast food on the go. A lot has changed in the past few years. My kid is older now, and my wife tends to handle our kid's after school activities. I no longer work in an office for 10-12 hours a day, and work from home, so I have a lot more flexibility in my working hours. I work a minimum of 9-5, but I spend a lot more time exercising in both the morning and nights. Also, fast food is completely gone from my diet now, as is soda (although I just had a very rare Red Bull this morning). I'm not defending myself or anyone who is over weight. My priorities at the time was, in order, my kid and then my work. My health and my weight wasn't even on the list of priorities; I was healthy and my weight wasn't an issue. You just get caught up in routine that is unhealthy and then middle age slaps you in the face and by the time you discover you need to make changes it's already an uphill battle. |

Loosing weight is really about eating less calories and then exercising more to burn off calories. It's easy to say it, but doing it is completely another thing. |

I don't eat as healthy as I should but I'm not fat.. Why? Because I'm very active, I usually walk 5 to 10 miles a day and often bike another 5 or more. I also drink a lot of water which helps increase your metabolism. |

Why single out fat people? |

Calories Burned During Exercise, Activities, Sports and Workouts You say you don't eat that good, realistically you probably do 2000-3000 calories a day in intake. Then you go out and you exercise pretty heavily, much more than the average person does. You are a very active person so the food that you eat does not matter so much. Most people cannot spend 2-4 hours a day doing a heavy workout/activity routine, which is what would be needed in order to "eat whatever you want." The answer for most people is to control intake because countering intake with proper output is extremely difficult. Had Rochard been eating 1800-2000 calories daily during those overweight times that he had, he would not have been overweight, despite having no time for basic exercise, let alone 2-4 hours of mountain biking. |

Any person with working legs can walk.. You don't have to do crazy exercises routines to lose weight, you just have to burn excess calories.. Also people can walk miles a day or bike them even if working full time. It's just a matter of how much they want to do it... |

i have lost almost 30 lbs since easter just by counting every calorie i take in, staying below a certain amount per day and doing occasional walks/runs (which makes it possible to eat a little extra that day)
your weight is your own decision :2 cents: |

Someone who eats 3k cals/day of balanced nutrition vs someone who eat 3k cals/day of gummy bears or junk food is not going to be as strong or have the same physical attributes. You may weigh the same based on your caloric intake but your ratio of fat to muscle will be vastly different. |

But it's not that simple for everyone and you can't say that because YOU were able to accomplish something, that others should be able to do the same and it be as 'simple'. |

of course very often i'd like to eat more or different stuff and i still have nights where i drink 12 beers and then eat a burger with fries before going to bed - which throws me back a couple days but the simple fact EVERYONE is able to follow is that you lose weight when you eat less calories than you burn whether people have the discipline over the course of a couple of months or even years is the other question I use the My Fitness Pal app and in their forum there are many great examples of people that lost 30, 50, 80 or even more than 100 lbs. One guy posted before and after pics after he lost 320 lbs. |

They don't have patience to not eat between meals so why should anybody be patient to them?

It's as simple as how much goes in vs how much goes out, really that simple. Some peoples' bodies will vary but it isn't overly extreme. Quote:
I have to watch what I eat, I'm able to exercise but my body isn't capable off long duration in the gym. I've got inflammation on the side of my hips (bursitis) from cycling while watching youtube vodcasts. 2-3 hours at a time. Now I'll just go 3-4 times a week and lift weights with a little cardio. I wish my body was built to be more resilient to lots of physical stress. |

A person has to figure out what makes them eat like that and what their problems are mentally and deal with them before they are ever going to take weight off in any significant way. It is just like someone who drinks. They have things that trigger their drinking and they have to learn how to deal with those. Someone who is very overweight needs to discover the root cause of this and deal with that first. |
I took these at a Perkins around 2 am on a Saturday night.
