I come here for entertainment instead of business. I like most of the personas and the banter they create. We can't all be interesting irl like far-l and his stories that actually happened.

I'm the complete opposite. I've been coming here primarily for business since the board opened in, umm, I think it was 2001. I mostly just skim past anything non-business as I find it more of a hindrance to productivity to me. Boards, by their very nature, can be quite distracting to productivity (for me). It's easy to get sidetracked and follow drama and that sort of thing. So I just come here, check for business stuff quickly, then go get my work done, log off and go enjoy life, usually with my family.

I'm not saying the personas are a bad thing or not entertaining. I'm just saying that for me, it helps me quickly identify those I want to initiate business discussions with and those I'm likely to overlook.

Granted, there are far fewer business threads here than there's ever been, but there's also other boards more focused on business so it all works out in the end anyway. There's certainly still business to be had on GFY, no question about it. I just don't spend much time looking for it here any more.

Far-L an actual celeb in the biz, generous, polite, and can pour on the IQ when he wants to

L-Pink funny as shit, the unsung one-liner king

Currently Sober only 1/10 posts are lucid, but when they are, an honest, likeable guy with a ton of specialized knowledge

Porn Nerd like a salmon swimming upstream, he just keeps getting bigger in a shrinking world, down to earth, helpful

MaDalton actually does business, actually helps newbies, a bit of a European, but ok nonetheless

Robbie outside of the box, get shit done, courageous, biz guy that has no fear, why would you when the intimate details of your life are public record? When you've seen someone in a porn trailer, however much you want to unsee it, but you still respect his political thoughts? That's a hard trick to pull.

Paul Markham all you MFs hate on paul all day, but even though he's been through some terrible shit, he just keeps doing. For better or worse, Paul is an *artist* whether you get his art or not. He can't stay away any more than Van Gogh could.

Richard may seem a bit quirky, but is a serious business guy, a thinker, and a reasonable person, has succeeded in differentiating himself from Rochard

Sperbonzo another guy who is doing it publicly, heart on his sleeve, reasonable and can let things roll off his back

This doesn't even cover half, I'm just too lazy to add other people who deserve it

You can't. If you did you would have posted something like "best characters" or "best nicknames". Those could be meant as the same person. Instead you wrote "best posters" which only implies different persons.
So you slipped, screwed up :)

He called her the most despicable names you could imagine calling a woman. And her only crime, she was the unfortunate one that answered the phone. Most long time GFYers know who he is, and if they've never done business with him offline, would never think he was an egotistical, maniacal, evil human being. They would respect him and say he's a stand up, well respected guy. No wonder his program folded like a cheap suit.

While I like some people here, it's hard for me to respect them for their online persona. I place a lot of reverence on respect, and without knowing the person, can't really give them any respect. I can appreciate them, which is much different.

You've got a receptionist? What's she do at a porn company?
