these prices are so ridicolus that it often reminds me of some banana republic like Angola, where middle class doesnt exist, what do exist are rich, super rich and 90 % that are poor. and such prices are only for rich.

Show me the one. Please. As I told it already, everybody here has a "white" and a "black" salaries. A white one you can see in Wikipeda. Also it's being used to pay taxes. However, the biggest part of money is always "black" here. Officially it does not exists, so a foreign guy like you will think "WTF?" when some Russian dude with an official salary of 30000 rubles per month goes to the bank and pays $100,000USD in cash for an apartments (these are typical Russian prices, apartments in Moscow are much more expensive) or a 1/2 of that money for a car.

Unfortunately it does not care about it at all (tax evasion is a national sport in Russia). Even Gazprom (the government-controlled company) pays "black" salaries and that's not a secret for everybody. I'll tell you more. This happens on every level from our president to everyone. For example, it is forbidden to do business w/o registration in the tax inspection. It is forbidden to provide transport service w/o a license. It's forbidden to evade taxes. Sounds very strict, isn't it? Now go to any street in Russia and rise your hand. At least 2-3 cars will stop to pick you up and drive to any place you want... for money of course. Is that illegal? Yes of course, but nobody cares about the laws here (as long as you don't steal, robe or kill). In fact, doing this simple illegal business in Moscow you can easily make additional 1000-2000 dollars a month. And yes, that's not considered as a serious crime so you won't go to jail for that. The max punishment will be a fine for about 1500 rubles or so and only if you will be caught which is nearly impossible (a chance is one to a billion).

P.S. Man, you saw the real prices in Russia (food, apartments etc). Do you really think these prices will exist if the people here had no money for that? The problem is that you are trying to compare overage official salaries in Russia with the local prices. This is something you should never do, because nobody here lives for the official salary. Do you know how many cafes, pubs and restaurants we have in Moscow? RestCon.ru says about 3500 (fast food chains are not included). The fact is that you have to reserve a place there if you need a 100% guarantee to get inside. For example if you are planing to visit a restaurant with a lady, you probably don't want to stay on the street and wait for a free place, right? So does it mean there is no middle class in Russia and the prices are for rich people only? BTW, the prices shown on the previous page of this thread are from a restaurant chain. It's a rather expensive one, but still it's just a chain. The real rich people don't eat in places like that :)
