I represent a perspective of a "very specific segment of the market in my role" which got not less rights to be expressed than yours, being based on data (stats, chat logs etc.) I can provide as evidence. I mean, what I tell it is all what I know being true in my operational area, and there's a general consensus about this when I talk with other cam admins/operators, altough I did not talked with all of them of course.
It would have been a disservice not to disclose both mine and your information in the forum. I am sorry you called my information "comically insulting and illogical, intellectually lazy and totally devoid of imagination, so fucking wrong, mesozoic". I instead believe your information it is also true. Except my personal curiosity to know how you get cam customers, our joint efforts can let us create an unprecedented collection of data from different sources, which can be used by historians as a base of books and so on.
Specifically, you claim to have information I miss, which is how you get guys: "I get new [cam customers] every day due to my own efforts". Those "my own efforts", connected with a successful "new every day"... you wrote: "how do affs attract clients to send to their sponsor sites? what makes you assume that cammers don't avail themselves of the same menu of methods?". So you say you do same as an affiliate, right? Just you are an affiliate + cam model. Well most affiliates do not generate 1+ new pay user per day, but more likely one per week or less. If I look at mine sites (and in general all the cam sites) affiliates stats, you see that 90% of new customers are sent by 1% of the affiliates, which own big sites (like, tubes, but not only). Then hundreds of other affiliates, the 99% of them, are bringing collectively the 10% of users. I do know of cam models (but more often, studios) who also are affiliates, but they can generate those small signups (yes I admin, some cam models can do a few), which alone however, would not sustain themselves as models - and anyway, that's like 1 model every 100 which can generate these like 1 signup every week or less. It could of course be that models able to generate many signups (in a way I ignore) do not stay online in cam sites at all, and so the cam sites totally miss that part of the story. Still, it would be right to state that those models who are active in the cam sites, are not bringing own customers.
