From what I've seen this name wasn't released by law enforcement at this point, and seems to have been released during a press conference by a Muslim group. One of the men who spoke is the brother in law of Syed Farook. Most likely it was his sister - The wife of Saed Farbrook - that was part of the shooting. She might be the other dead gunman, or perhaps the person police have in custody.

Going postal is one thing. Instantly talking two of your friends to join you on a shooting spree.... That's just odd.

I just watched an episode of one of those FBI crime shows last night where a female prison guard ended up marrying an inmate. She got caught smuggling in stuff for him. They fired her, then she helped break him out and killed one of the guards in the process..

She's now serving life as is he.. So yea that kinda shit happens.

Who said it was an instant thing? Maybe they had beef with his co workers or something and decided to kill them. With all their gear this wasn't an instant reaction, but a planned attack..

What I find odd is why did they stick around the area to get in a shoot out with cops 4hrs later..

We'll see how this plays out, but strange for a woman to be involved in a shooting though. I'm not sure how the whole Jihad thing works as far as women go, and if a mask and body armor counts as "covering herself" (which seems like would be a prerequisite for being a radicalized muslim to begin with)

I might remind those who are clamoring for more gun control that California has very tough gun control laws. The main one involved here is assault weapons. They are illegal to possess in the State. How did that law work for ya. Gun control is not the answer. Forgetting the politically correct BS and cracking down on outfits like CAIRE and the radical clerics in the Mosques is a place to start. Domestically, we have our share of loons out there that see fame in slaying as many people as they can but taking my guns away won't stop them. They will accomplish their task regardless of the law. Until we address the inability to put these people away to be treated and forget this liberal idea that a social worker with an associates degree can solve the mental ills of these people, we will continue to have these attacks. The news hit the wire at around noon EST and it was all that the TV carried for the ne12 solid hours. 15 minutes of fame has been turned into world wide celebrity status...

Yeah, how does someone on a county govt salary of $51K/year (some media sources have overstated to $70K range due to the value of the benefits) afford 2 AR-15's (or AK47's), 2 automatic handguns, body armor, 2 gopro cameras, ammo, materials and know-how to build pipe bombs w/ remote detonation capabilities for a few of the bombs, etc etc. plus payments on a new-ish GMC Yukon (the SUV may have been rented, not confirmed yet) and support his wife and infant etc etc.

I think we may just have copy-cat terrorists but the funding of what looks like some sort of ''well planed'' work-related revenge attack needs to be clarified ...

I think this as partially planned. Clearly the man was well armed and had the tactical gear. He also had pipe bombs. He was planning for something, and when triggered he went home and quickly put his plan into action. I am guessing here of course.

Why did he stick around? If you willing to walk into a room and shoot three dozen innocent people for some minor slight, you aren't too smart to begin with or have a mental issue. He didn't have a long term plan here.
