That's not what you said, you said he is leading the polls to become POTUS.

Don't spread misinformation and you won't be corrected. Pretty simple.

I also find it funny, if Obama said the same thing Trump said, there would be calls for his head and how he thinks he is a dictator.

This is exactly what I think. He is a business man with his empire; He says "do" and it gets done. It doesn't work that way in politics. With politics it's six months of planning before you announce anything, six months of selling it to Congress etc, another six months of selling it to the public, then another six months to find the funding. The entire time you will have to fight off attacks from people who oppose your idea, and even after they've lost the battle they will keep on fighting you tooth and nail - a classic example is Obamacare. While all of this is going on, the President is distracted by ten thousand other things - Hurricanes, flooding, shootings, terrorist attacks - and then suddenly there is a huge scandal in a department you have little control over, be it the IRS, DEA, or the Pentagon.

And this is what Trump is not going to be able to handle. He's going to say one dumb thing - such as his comment about Transgendered people in the military - and it will set off a firestorm and debate that will suck up two weeks of news time.

As it stands right now, Trump has the largest percentage of the vote from the Republican party, but it won't be enough to carry the day. Currently as it stands, it doesn't matter who he goes up against - Hillary or Bernie - he losses. Trump will not carry the two demographics Republicans need the most, Hispanics and women, and in the mean time he is pissing off everyone else including the disabled, Muslims, and transgendered. He is most likely pissing of the Asians as well who haven't forgotten what America did to them during the 1940s.

Trump is good at marketing himself. He pushes the right buttons to get and keep our attention. After that he's got nothing.

this is obviously a very important issue with you, you better clear your schedule today because i'm not letting you off the hook on it so you're going to be here a while correcting me, you're all in.

so again, my comment was made in part to support my view that i can't claim Trump is an idiot. that's not spreading misinformation, that's sayin I, me, not you, not them, I can't call Trump an idiot because he is leading the polls for potus.

at the most, that's my making a conclusion on an incorrect fact, that's not at all spreading misinformation. you like to over-dramatize, just like you're making a big issue of correcting the internet here.

Trunp is leading the Republican Party.

Hillary is leading the Democratic Party.

Comparing them against each other right now is silly because nobody can predict what everyone else will do after their pick is out of the race. They are both leading.

What an asinine argument.

2. Even if a satellite gets an IP, and uses a VPN, then tor; there is no way to find the the exit IP.

So, it's a moot issue.

No body can predict what is going to happen.

But don't kid yourself - Right now both sides are plugging in numbers and adjusting for possible scenarios trying to decide what the best course of action is. Both sides know the strengths and weaknesses of all candidates. Everyone knows what the Republican party needs to do to win, and Trump is doing just the opposite. No matter what political model you plug Trump into, he losses the election.

I hope he gets the nomination. I don't think too much of Hillary, but I think she would eat him alive when debating.

if i were one of TRump's opponents, the strategy i'd consider would be to boil down his hyperbole to reality.

the fact is what he says resonates with a lot of people, that's why he's winning. it's over-the-top though and people like you can't see the essence of what he is saying.

as an opponent, i'd destroy Trump by dissecting his comments down to their reality and then appeal to people with that while discrediting trump at the same time.

Political models, experts, and news anchors said Trump would be gone six months ago.

Not sure why people like yourself keep ranting on about old models. They obviously are not in play. Things have changed. 2008 proved that as well.

The Republican and Democratic parties still haven't figured this out, which is why Trump is where he is. Keep the wool pulled down over your eyes and you might be in for a real shocker next year.

Trump's statement was a qualified one;
Quote:

The press has to be responsible; they're not being responsible. We're losing a lot of people because of the Internet. We have to see Bill Gates and a lot of different people who really understand what's happening and maybe, in some ways, closing that Internet up in some ways.
''in some ways..." Whatever that might mean?

Google says:
Quote:

in a way (or in some ways or in one way)
phrase of way

1.
to a certain extent, but not altogether or completely (used to reduce the effect of a statement).
"in some ways television is more challenging than theater"

Translate in some ways to
Isn't the Internet a wonderful thing :1orglaugh
used to reduce the effect of a statement
or to temper the bullshit and allow ''waffling'' space.

Politics as usual ...

And a lot of people are still questioning why he is still in the race, and why he is doing so well. At the same time a lot of the media is questioning if Trump has the basic ability to be President. The press never did this with Romney or Obama, or any of the other candidates. This man launched his campaign with "Mexicans are rapists". How the fuck is this possible?

They are always in play. Some models are more accurate than others, some times they are completely off.

I will gladly bet my next paycheck that all of the candidates have people tracking all of this - Each and every poll. They are posturing, exploring, trying to figure out what steps to take next - which side of each issue they need to be on, what states to visit next, what color ties to wear. The closer we get to the end, the more accurate these models become.

Reality doesn't matter to the far right (his supporters) it never has and never will. This has been shown time and time again when people believe bullshit because they "want" to believe it not because facts show it's true..

Trump says stupid shit that his crazy base "wants" to believe, so no matter how much proof is shown that what he says isn't true, they just make excuses and blame liberal media. It's just like Trump clearly making fun of that handicapped reporter on video then coming out the very next day and claiming he didn't. dyna mo 12-08-2015 01:13 PM

trump doesn't have a "base". and the far right is very much not on board with trump.

in fact, the gop base is threatening to hubert humphrey this election if TRump gets the nod. (give it to the dems and focus on local elections.)

I want a successful business person as POTUS — not a failed businessman who has had to rely on bankruptcy four times in four decades.

CarlosTheGaucho 12-08-2015 01:49 PM

The irony is try to start a group on FB where you'll be "politically incorrect" about any given minority and they'll close you right away.

Yet it's been proven that there are closed groups that actually celebrate all the successes of the Jihad warriors, including very graphic pictures and videos, and that are used for recruitment of new, many times underage members.

Recently read up an article about one of the mothers of ISIS recruits from Europe that was given access to such group in order to communicate with her daughter in Syria (the daughter is dead now).

I understand it's hard to police something as huge as FB, but try to upload a tit slip and you'll see how long you last. While promoting Nazism is outlawed (perhaps since it had to do with genocide), obviously promoting Jihadism which centers around killing anyone but Muslims is OK.

Obviously that's the politically correct way to deal with it, let them celebrate killing people.

that doesn't make any fucking sense. he's a developer, not an investor. it's ludicrous to exclaim if Trump had not been what he is he would be more successful because the s&p. a fucking fireman would be more successful if he wasn't a fireman but a Wall Street investor? fucking please.

and the bankruptcy comment is baseless. he owns and has owned 100s and 100s of businesses. the American fucking way is to work hard and don't let failures get in the way.

The problem is we believe what we believe in.

Someone who believes in Trump doesn't seem him mocking a disabled reporter. Someone who support Hillary doesn't see where she did anything wrong with her emails.

I don't belong to either party (although I've been slanting towards Democratic these days). The past two Presidential elections I had Republican friends telling me their side was going to win up until the very end. I found this odd and comical; I thought it was pretty obvious Obama was going to win. The long term polls for both elections point towards a Democratic victory. (Here is a example.) We are seeing something similar now where if you compare Trump to Hilary, Hilary wins - by a large margin. Yes, the margin will go up and down over the next year, but we can already see an obvious trend.

Take a look at the recent polls: RealClearPolitics - 2016 Election 2016 Presidential Polls. Look at results for Monday, December 7th (yesterday) - It shows the Democrats winning in every scenario, and usually by a large margin. Trump VS Clinton, Clinton winning with a 11% margin? Granted, it's Telemundo, which means Hispanic, so take that with a grain of salt, but nearly every poll has the same result with Clinton winning.

Trump's biggest issue is he is saying what the Republican base wants to hear (Deport the Hispanics! Deport the Muslims!) but when it comes to the real election, the Republican base isn't what is going to decide the election - and what he is saying now will crush him come election time.

dyna mo 12-08-2015 02:31 PM

I love it when a politician reveals their complete stupidity on a subject.

He can't close the Internet.

Can he block sites promoting violence? Mo the NRA won't allow that. They need threats to sell guns.

Even his policy of keeping out Muslims is BS. It's easy to fake a passport.

Of course, if he really wanted to lower the risk of people getting shot, he would ban guns. It will take a while to see the effect, so banning the sale of bullets would help speed things up.

In London a terrorist slashed 5 people with a knife. In San Diego, a terrorist was able to arm himself in order to shoot 16. As for guns to stop people committing mass murders like these many tragedies, when was the last assailant shot by a member of the public?
