You forgot to add all the shit that NASA gave us that is NOT cool. Stuff like the nuclear bomb,

Atomic bombs were first conceived in 1898 by Pierre and Marie Curie when they discovered that pitchblende, an ore of uranium that they named Radium, emitted radioactivity. The first fission experiment was made in the US in 1939. The first Bomb was built in 1945, not Nasa. Nasa wasn't founded until 1958.
Proof.

You can argue that all of that technology helps maintain peace in civilized parts of the world and make life easier too.

Natural WHolesome food is great but there is a shitload of pesticide required to keep pests under control. Genetically altered food may reduce the need for pesticides, help food last longer and spoil more slowly making longer trips easier, feeding more people, and giving more business to farms. There are arguments on both sides of this but blaming Nasa? No.

or better still how about all the jobs caused by this technology shit.

All the jobs? Scientists, Engineers, Construction, Programmers, Teachers, Astronomers, Geologists, Chemists, and dozens more are all probably pretty happy about that. Nasa employs over 18,000 people.
Proof

Sorry but in the big picture being able to take a photo with a plastic cell phone isn't all that impressive.

Maybe not, but taking pictures of a child's organs and related structure using magnetic fields and radio wave energy to save their life sure is. True, Nasa didn't invent the MRI but Nasa tech has been used incorporated into MRI and contributed to its advancement over the years. So, thanks Nasa!
Peace.
