Yeah but Paxums unique selling point and most used feature is its Mastercard and its this which seems to be always having problems now.

how about transfers to card? does it work? this is what people are complaing about the most.

Bryan G 04-06-2018 09:11 AM

Paxum has always been great for me. Lots of my advertisers pay me via paxum and I never have an issue when I do a transfer to my biz bank account. Seems the only people complaining here are the ones relying on the MC.

well, the thread title is BS. anyway people relying on the MC pay for it and they expect to be able to use it properly. this week transfers to card are down daily, it's to be expected people will complain.

k0nr4d 04-06-2018 09:41 AM

It still doesn"t work - "Service temporary restricted. Please try again later."
I also made a purchase on steam yesterday wtih the card to try to clear it. It went through by my balance on paxum is unchanged. It seems like they have issues connecting to whatever API they are using to fund/get info on the card.

Brian mike 04-06-2018 10:07 AM

We have Received few payment from advertisers this morning with no problem either .

You know I love you Ruth - This is getting out of control though - Paxum is operating as a bank - Can you imagine if BOA or any of the big guys had 1% of the problems you guys have - Just 1% and all hell would break out - Friendly advice - look for a new job...

Eddy.. Paxum.com is not a bank, and we have never advertised it as such nor operated it as such.

Our bank can be found at PAXUM BANK LIMITED - Personal Banking, Business Banking, Loans, Merchant Accounts, Mass Payout Solutions

Paxum.com is a payment service.

I know it sucks that we've had the downtime on transfers to cards this week, and we're very sorry for the inconvenience that was caused, but as you can see, even though transfers to cards has gone down it has come back up each time, and no other services have been affected. Cards are working, P2P transfers are working, withdrawals are working, etc.

I appreciate your advice, but I will respectfully choose not to take it, as I'm more than happy with my current position. Paxum is a great company to work for with core values that I believe in. I get to do business with some terrific people and companies, and our own team is filled with knowledgeable and professionally skilled individuals and they're an awesome bunch to work with. :)

NickBaer 04-08-2018 03:56 AM

I'm waiting for the day that I can transfer my FirstChoice (credit card) funds to Paxum... so I can ACH the funds to my Bank.

When I am outside of the US, I have to go to a ATM, withdraw cash, then go to my Bank (in that country) and deposit into my Bank account. Sometimes the same Bank in the same building, sometimes different.

I loose around 5% in cx fees.

Plus the hassle of often standing on a sidewalk outside, plus needing to walk or take the bus to the Bank.

Everything else about the industry we practice in is electronic, I hate that twice-a-month exercise in handling cash.

NickBaer 04-08-2018 04:03 AM

I might try the Paxum Bank application again. When I was in Berlin in September, Ruth helped me with my application for an account.

The Bank wrote back in hideous - and broken English - detail, that everything I did with the application was wrong or not understandable.

Which made me mad at Paxum Bank, not at Ruth.

Won't be back up any time soon I guess. They use Choice Bank for their cards right and Choice Bank is fucked at the moment

Quote:

Due to recent developments involving the prepaid card component of our international banking business, Choice Bank Ltd. (“the Bank”) has been forced into a temporary liquidity constrained position.

With a view to enable the Bank to manage cash flows in an orderly fashion to work through the current liquidity situation, in the interest of depositors and other creditors as a whole, the Bank has taken the decision in its view as a matter of necessity, with immediate effect, to temporarily suspend all withdrawals from deposit accounts with the Bank and other outbound payment activities (save for payment of employees, suppliers essential for core operations, consultants and advisers) until the Bank and/or its relevant regulatory authorities (as the case may be) are satisfied that such suspension is no longer required.

I dunno. I asked for an EFT withdrawal two Tuesdays ago. Normally an EFT is the fastest way to get your money. Been a week. Nothing from Paxum.

I have to say.. BULL fucking shit!

Here is my take on EFT withdrawals.

So I submit my info. They verify it. I do three requests with no issues. Plus one month goes by. No issues. At at this point EFT requests should be automated? If I changed my bank account info, or a hacker did, then it would go back to manual audit mode. They'd wonder, WTF? Why is USA client using Ukrainian bank account? No offense Ukraine.

But no. All requests are manual? So it's been a week. WTF are you fucking doing Paxum? I need a real solution. This is fucking child's play. Plain and simple. Butt fucking dumb
Sorry gay people. I guess I could counter myself with, straight fucking a pussy with a cock. Either way. It's foreign way of doing business to me.

Wires... The old standard.

I've just withdrawn a little cash via ATM, so it's working at the moment but can't transfer rest of funds from account to card.

Not for long.......

Guys - you should all have been around long enough to recognise a run on a bank.

If you dont all run for the hills asap, then you deserve what is coming.

JJE 04-10-2018 03:25 AM

AFAIK Paxum doesn't (at least exclusively) use Choice for holding wallet funds - well that's not where inbound wires are sent or received from, perhaps they're passed on at same stage, obviously for the cards they are. But either way, it's still going to annoy a lot of people if they cannot load their cards. Wires aren't cheap. Only problem is there's zero alternatives left.

Seems you can still use the current funds on the cards

New funds will probably have to wait till they are set up with a new card issuer and issue new cards to everyone

That's what I hope as well. Logically speaking, choice is a sketchy carribean bank and you'd want to keep as little funds there as possible. I'd imagine they wire money there with a "buffer" to transfer to the cards IE always keep around 30-40k in there, refill as nessesary whilst keeping the rest in a normal bank.

ilnjscb 04-10-2018 06:29 AM

Choice is clearly having issues. Paxum should clarify that they do or don't use Choice, what for, and if so what their transition plan is. Why it's ok in adult to say "Don't worry, we'll fix it, don't worry" I'll never know.

They *DO* use Choice for sure, because the cards say choice bank on them
