They must have super secret back channels to both Korean governments I guess. Straight to Moon and Un themselves, who told them specifically that Trump had nothing to do with this. And then they send out their foreign minister to lie about Trump deserving some credit because he would torpedo it if they didn't tell that lie. Even though he's had nothing to do with it so far, he would kill it if they don't lavish praise on him. But he has no connection to it. Yes, that makes perfect sense. If I had that kind of connection, I guess I would be able to form the same opinions. Unfortunately for me, I don't have that kind of access. I have to use logic. I have to ask questions. I have to wonder why they would not consult with the U.S., their strategic partner in the region, on such an important thing. No talks at all on this historic summit. Yep. I'm sure the State Dept woke up and said "Wow, look at that. And not even an email wondering what we thought." Completely logical. |

Why did Trump say Kim Jong Un is "honerable"? Diplomacy, the same reason SK's prime minister is mentioning Trump, who hasn't even met with Kim Jong Un, and just begged the Chinese to follow through with sanctions. The credit goes to the Chinese, South Korea and North Korea. But people like you who idolize a do nothing liar... don't get why a man who did nothing for ending the South Korea War doesn't deserve the Nobel Peace Prize |

It was estimated when Trump came in to power that North Korea had 5 nukes, now that estimate is over 60.. all capable of reaching the USA. Nothing has caused North Korea to ramp up their nuclear program more than Donald Trump. All North Korea so far have announced is they will be closing their main nuclear test site, which we know from reports after their 100ktn bomb test the facility nearly collapsed. ( At a guess I'm betting North Korea need help cleaning this up as its now their own Chernobyl... ( just a hunch no proof ) ) --- South Korea desperately needs a peace deal to be signed, any step is a positive step for them. Its just up to Trump to be the first American president to accept North Korea as a nuclear state and sign it. And despite all the bullshit surrounding it.. that's the guts. Will Trump accept North Korea as a nuclear state? And then for the bad news, North Korea gets rid of its nukes, then the South will have to as well AND THAT INCLUDES VISTING WAR SHIPS ;) Bankrupt and disarm North Korea, then China will move in with Russia right behind. Because of North Koreas isolation any change, any peace plan is going to take a few generations to work out. North Korea is reported to have the largest stockpiles of Chemical and Biological weapons. BTW I do credit Trump with helping, its a combination of China, South Korea, USA, Russia and basically every other country on the planet, that brought us to this point. I don't like giving to much respect to Trump directly though, more to the American public. We know North Korea has Biological and Chemical weapons, they have long range missiles that can reach USA mainland and they have a nuclear arsenal, we also know America's missile shields are not 100% fail safe. Trump played chicken with every Americans life, just like he trashes the markets on a twitter rant. So Kudos to Trump for that he owns it. |
After a dubious feeling of the American and Chinese leaders about the historic Korean summit ...

USA flew 3 fully loaded b52 bombers straight at the country and turned them 15 miles out... Trump must have amazing faith in north Korean satellites and military intelligence to trust not only that North Korean systems worked but they didn't fail. North Korea very much can hit back at the USA, most countries couldn't but they could. Its not a war they could hope to win, but they surly could punch some knock out blows. I hope the North and the South can come to some peace deal, if America stopped provoking the situation if might of happened years ago, fuck America can't even make peace with its Mexican neighbours so why the USA thinks it can do it in more foreign lands I have no idea. Denuclearize the North, remove sanctions.. China moves in to North Korea and takes over. |

re: America's purpose - I believe the policy of the U.S. Government is changing. What it was before will not be the same as it will become, and is becoming, every day. We had bad actors dictating insanity - bombings, invasions, millions of innocent people dead. Personally, I don't care who gets the credit as long as it ends. I have merely pointed out that it is a ludicrous notion that South Korea ignored our partnership in the region and acted unilaterally to have a peace summit, with ZERO influence of their PARTNER. If you guys have business partners, I sure hope you don't treat them that way. Quote:

To be fair, President Moon's comments were in response to the widow of the late South Korean President Kim Dae-jung, who suggested that President Moon should get it. Ever humble, Moon really only wants peace and would be happy to give our substantially less humble President the prize instead.
Of interest in the article is this quote: "In January, Mr Moon said Mr Trump "deserves big credit for bringing about the inter-Korean talks. It could be a resulting work of the US-led sanctions and pressure". When will Mr. Moon stop lying to the press about President Trumps deserved credit? We have it on very good authority of two posters here that Trump deserves NO credit at all and that the U.S. had NO role in this process. President Moon is a great man, but I wish he and his officials would stop lying to the press about this issue. |

I wonder how this strategy would work for Iran? They need to get on the bandwagon soon since EVERYONE knows this is the path to success. Why are they being so mean to President Trump when all they have to do is shower him with praise to get whatever they want? Prediction: This claim will be forthcoming soon as President Trump deals with Iran. But, of course, it won't be anything he does. There will be some reason he will not have ANY responsibility for ANYTHING good that happens over there. Quote:

it is macron's style of diplomacy when dealing directly with trump. it's also moon's. it's also the same style some US business leaders adopted when high 5ing themselves for handing out minuscule employee bonuses due to trump's corporate welfare tax bill. many leaders realize that praising the president reaps benefits. if i were to fathom a guess, i would bet moon is praising trump to try to make sure trump does not blow up the moon un deal. |

And that seems more likely than the South Koreans think he might deserve some credit? Oooooookay. Hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion. |

what i stated is moon is smart enough to know that trump responds favorably to praise. not that trump is smart enough to actually have a plan. reality dictates trump's already risked war(s) and continues to do so. He'll blow up any and every deal he feels like, that's a fact, not an opinion. |

Did the US set this meeting up? Did the state department play part? The Secretary of State? Our ambassador to South Korea? Was anyone from the United States part of this meeting? At this meeting? The United States played no part in this. We didn't plan it, we didn't organize it, we didn't supervise it, we didn't even have someone there. Maybe this was exactly what was needed - the United States (and other countries) to top interfering with the peace process. |
