Will Smith and those who support his public assault are pussies, weak fucks. Anyone remember the old saying "Sticks & stones..... ?" Ya'll who like what he did are fragile lil kids.
The joke, although funny, definitely was in bad taste, but never assault anyone unless defending yourself/fam from real danger. But violence because of piercing jokes from a comedian? not okay. |

“My goal, ultimately, is to get eyeballs on the show,” he said earlier this month in a Zoom interview with The Washington Post. |
epic moment in television

Chris Rock's humour seems so dated to me, his joke wasn't even funny so not sure why Smith got so vex. the two prolly have a long-standing beef or something, assuming this wasn't orchestrated
I'm so not into the oscars but my fav aunt loves them. she told me about the kerfuffle when I spoke to her this am, she knows I had a massive crush on Pinkett back in her A Different World days. Pinkett is still hot as fuck decades later and her (lack of) hair really accentuates her exquisite bone structure. the woman is still a fucking goddess suspect like some of y'all this was done for ratings. how lame |

What if it were Jerry Seinfeld instead of Chris Rock?
What if it was Mel Gibson instead of Will Smith? And why didn't anyone slap Amy Schumer? That's what I wanna know. |
Pretty evident it's staged. Im unsure how much boomer generation here is to think this was a real "im pissed enough to walk on stage at oscars and slap the shit out of someone" rage.
|
Imagine if Chris Rock had made a joke about Alec Baldwin's wife.

The whole thing was disgusting. Wills a loser, his kids are losers, and his wife has ZERO respect for him.. "defending" lol. Girl slapping a man hahaha wow. What the hell is happening to men? |

OOhw nooooo He was joking about "her illness", hahaha GTFO out of here, she has a tiny bald spot, stop making it look like Chris was making fun of some terminally ill or bedridden person.
I hope its staged because that slap was just too sad if real |

Some Japanese friends asked if this whole mess was a way to move our attention away from Biden's insanely feeble gaffs or not? Seems to have done that to some degree. |

Bitch-slapping went mainstream . . .

The open marriage thing is NOT working out for Mr. Smith.
LOLZ |
Chris rock says he didn't even know about her alopecia.
|
Seems it isn't the first time rumor has it Will Smith punched Edward Norton in face at Oscars off stage not same night. What other work place does this happen besides a Dojo.

I agree with this: "If the Will Smith thing is real, I feel sorry for him. The fact that he can go from laughing at a joke to punching someone for the joke within seconds after taking one look at Jada’s face screams emotional abuse. He is a broken man. She broke him." @SaraGonzalesTX |
I'm with the camp that it was staged.

Not cool to make fun of hair loss. But notice Will did not get mad until Lou Gossett Jr gave Will a dirty look.

Second worse rating in Oscar's history. What used to be 40 million viewers is down to 10 million. |

The plots are so contrived and repetitive that people know the ending after 5 minutes. There is not even a decent theater near me anymore, they closed years ago. :2 cents: |
If Will had kept his face mask on no one would have known it was him to slapped Chris.
This discussion has split many up as to whether it should have happened. Those who have street smarts know Will was stating his dominance over Chris and put him in his place. To the civilized "I wouldn't hurt a fly" group - it was assault and needs to be addressed and dealt with. This rivalry has been in the making for years and for whatever reason - Smith snapped. I said to my wife later on - "if someone disrespected you like that I probably would have done the same" - so I for one can't judge what had happened. Truth is time will tell how the Oscars deal with this - let it blow over or take his statue away. What is really sad are the actual moments that were worthy are forgotten like Gaga and Liza - that was special. |

You have to train yourself to be stronger than that. It was clearly intended as a joke, and we all know Chris Rock and that he'll joke to wherever there is content, like any comedian. I think I overestimated our society, people really do love violence. :disgust |
