I know you have some experience on large projects. I also know you don’t have enough experience to realize how its not as “simple” as you think it is.

Pulling it off would take some heavy lifting, that's a given. But to say it can't be done or it wouldn't work is a defeatist attitude. I've had too much fun in my life by saying hold my beer.
I went from building TGP's on my spare time for Comus after working 10 hours a day for Coca Cola, to working as the Club Jenna Webmaster, with no training. I taught myself html and PHP MySQL and a few others.
