Ian....You are officially uninvited to ANY gathering I am EVER arranging. Your comments were out of line, disrespectful, and have hurt my reputation. This is a small business Ian?You have been around long enough to know that you should not say anything behind somebody?s back that you don?t have the balls to say to their face as it will get back to them. Talk all the shit you want about me being a kid hater. 1 and 2 year olds do not belong in high end restaurants. If I overlooked the children?s playland area at El Gaucho then I apologize. Nothing but love for you Roger. Perhaps if you had been there then you could have shown Ian a thing or two about having some class. http://www.ampcontent.com/Pics/ElGaucho.jpg |

Not that it will make you feel better, Kayla, but you should see a psychiatrist conference or auto body shop folks when they're getting tanked.
I really don't think this is limited to our industry. As a matter of fact, I've been the recipient of those meetings myself. I feel like a child when I hear some of the stuff the so called professionals do when they're out of town. Letting one's hair down does not include the childish Mischief Night pranks I've seen. The destruction of property is never okay. As to being too drunk to remember, Aaron, my friend, you are so right on. For two years straight, I've wanted to talk to a rep from a major sponsor, face to face. But, I never saw him on the showroom floor and when I did see him, he was so drunk, it looked as if his spine had been removed. He could not walk upright. The next day, we were re introduced. He had no idea who I was. Two years in a row. Am I going to promote this sponsor? Hell no. I am always looking for show people to represent my clients. The reports of people's behaviours usually comes to me, whether I'm at the show or not. Ian. In case you're reading this. When Aaron told me you wanted to bring your kids to dinner at El Gaucho's, I thought about it for two seconds. My vote was no. This was a gathering for adults in an adult restaurant. It was wholly inappropriate to bring children there. |

And although I did have some drinks at dinner, it was nice meeting you each time. :) :2 cents: I go to shows to talk face to face and build trust with people I want to do business with. Sometimes that involves having some silly fun. But it never involves being rude or destructive. |

On the flipside I think its also important to take into consideration that alot of rumors float around, alot of people make assumptions, shift blame or already have a prejudiced demeanor towards people.
This can result in all kinds of drama...I think as an industry as a whole we are not much more or less destructive than many others. I just think that we fail to police eachother. Ask yourself this...If you see someone engaging or about to engage in activities you feel are not befitting of this industry, are you more likely to tell that person you don't approve, point and laugh, turn a blind eye?? Sometimes people are in the worng place at the wrong time, sometimes people's past actions stigmatize them...and sometimes its just plain rumor. I'm not trying to defend anyone. As an employee of Adult.com I'm personally not impressed that some of these events occured. However, I think many people have already made up their minds who did what without ever having been witness to any of the events in question. And that's not cool either. :2 cents: |
