I agree that even so-called "professionals" misbehave at conventions.

But let's face it: The porn industry doesn't exactly attract the cream of the crop either.

The fact of the matter is: the adult industry is often a haven for convicted criminals or, simply, people who can't get a decent job elsewhere. It's not like you need to go to college or get a license to be in the porn biz.

It's a business where there's low cost and little or no barriers for entry --- where every low-life scammer on the planet can try to make a quick buck and, often, does.

So it's not surprizing that this kind of thing might be more prevalent at adult industry conventions.

I'm not a criminal and I can get a decent job, I just choose not to cause there would be no sense in taking another job with very decent pay and working for someone else when I can sit at home, work my own hours and make 5 times as much as I would then working in a cubical programming something that someone will make a killing off of and I'll just get my salary for doing. I wasn't saying this applies to every single person in the porn biz.

But I am arguing that the adult biz probably has more than its fair share of lowlifes.

Afterall, this IS a thread about people getting drunk, taking drugs, tearing up hotel rooms, damaging property, etc. at adult conventions.

Oh yeah and the guys who bilked the government and all their investors out of millions of dollars at Enron were perfect gentleman. Give me a convicted felon any day over these fucks, at least you know what the felon's capable of, if he's gonna stab you you'll know it.

Some of the brightest and smartest biz men/women are in this biz, you know why? Incredible profit margins, look at AT&T and GM they realize how much money is to be made from porn and they capitalize on it.

The fact of the matter is..you have no clue who is in this industry and what and who they were prior to their entrance.

I've been to many shows. Yeah, there are a few...note what I said...a few who do stupid things or get too drunk or whatever.

For the most part, everyone is there to meet and greet old and new friends, make contacts and network.

That we drink a little too much is because we've earned it.

Most of us who are in this full time work alot of hours.

Don't talk about that which you know nothing about.

And, by the way, have you ever been to a shoe salesman convention? They do things which make us look like angels.

This business is full of degenerate idiots who are better suited to work at Wendys or check into Better Ford. Accept it.

I know several people in this business with Drug/Booze problems. Just wish you pussies would name some names.

As for the idiots at the shows....Some people seem to think that it should not matter. I beg to differ. It does. I spend money to attend these events for networking and business oppertunities. Why should I waste it with some schmuch who will not remember what we discussed?

At that time, Aaron's main problem was that everyone was fucked up during tradeshows and they would not remember what they talked about lol
