Battus, don't take this personally, but you're a real jackass on this board.

You don't have a clue. Nor have you done any research on the subject.

Correct, im indeed a jackass on this board. Because so many people claim so many stupid things on here. I like to burst their bubbles. Talking about bubbles. Ive done little research indeed but i think i already know enough when its clear there is no evidence at all for remote viewing. These people have been given plenty of time to produce evidence. Tons of dollars have been spent on research yet they failed the most simple tests. Sorry man, but i simply dont buy this crap. It would be a scientific breakthrough if this could be proven. It would prove wrong years and years of scientific laws and thinking. It would prove wrong 1000's of professors, scientists and other people. Yet they fail to produce ONE single evidence!

You can call me an asshole for saying this, i dont care, many people called me an asshole for saying the truth, they cant handle it because they want to believe otherwise. I dont look at these subjects emotional like a lot of people but rational. Something i advise you to do as well. I know it sounds really beautiful remote viewing, its something we want to believe in, just like god, just like ghosts, just like aliens. yet all these "beautiful, mysterious" things all lack 1 thing. After all these years not 1 person can show the smallest evidence that it exists.

Excuse my grammar. When i type fast its not always good english.

sorry KRL, I like most of your posts, but some, like the ones in this thread, I totally disagree on. You can't just claim that you know things. I've read articles by people who had been doing astrology for decades, explained everything with it, got 'fabulous' results but then at once realised it's the uttermost crap, that they have also been tackled into it, etc. Can you show me one research/trial that gives evidence towards the things you claim?
The true science of Astrology works. If you doubt that, study your history books and see all the highly recognized people that solidly endorse it.

Uhm, pretty lame answer but i believe in myself and what i see. Im open to everything. If someone shows me evidence of remote viewing now i will believe him, if an alien lands on my boat now, i will believe there are aliens walking around here. But for some reason its always the same people who see aliens, ghosts, who have a 6th sense etc. This are often emotional people. Im not emotional, im rational like i said before.
Im not saying im not interested in all this stuff, just in a different way. Im highly interested in what makes people believe in things like this. Im often busy trying to understand how come that people believe in ghosts or god. To me thats way more interesting than actually believing in something theres absolutely no proof of.

Its a common thing for human beings to believe in something that rationally isnt possible. Why? We tend to look for a reason to live, most people dont want to believe that we are only on this earth to be born, to work and then die. It makes them sad. Just look at all the things people believe in, they are often beautiful things, we talk to our dead grandma, we listen to God so he makes your life better, we communicate with aliens who tells us theres life out there. These are all positive things. If, according to the bible, God was an evil man nobody would believe in him nor the bible. Wed find something else to believe in.

Honestly, i am not close minded. I tend to think that about people who just blindly believe in everything that looks cool or believe in stuff because other people also believe in them. Im open to everything, something the average Jesus believer is not.

It's like going to a magic show and seeing a deck of cards disapear... Magician is good at playing with objects while a mind reader is good at playing with people's minds...

Juicylinks,

I had a card reader renting a space next to my old office... One morning on my way to the office, I saw her walking down the street with a gas can... and then there was her car a couple of blocks ahead... I thought to myself... Man she tells peoples futures and has a gas gauge and she runs out of gas... LOL So I guess it's more of a trick, than it is seening your future!

But, it can be entertaining...

Denny

Its not a matter of believing in something because it 'looks cool' or other people believe in it. I have no doubt certain things exist and happen through my own personal experiences and yet it could not be proven on a scientific level. There is no way I can see to prove scientifically that we have spirits, but I have no doubt that we do.

Sociologist Andrew Greeley, studying available surveys and polls since 1978, found that not only did the percentage of Americans admitting to psychic experiences increase over a decade, about two thirds of college professors accepted ESP, and more than 25% of "elite scientists" believed in ESP. Other polls have shown that many scientists hold such beliefs privately but do not share such opinions publicly (or at least not in their professional circles) for fear of ridicule or worse. If anything, the data suggest that on average, scientists are at least as accepting as the general population of paranormal phenomena and thus of parapsychology as a valid field for scientific study.

Cool- Sounds interesting. I've never tried it. Hummmmm :)

Matt 26z 06-22-2004 02:22 AM

The last time I had one done, when he started talking about current job he says "There is a lot of sex."

That's not to mention the other uncanny things they've known. Very specific stuff. This isn't like that BS you see on TV.

You will know when they are real.
