Apparently you are unfamiliar with the Meese Commission. Under Reagan, obscenity was prosecuted regularly, two of the people that I do alot of business with were prosecuted and one did 18 months in jail.

The Clinton administration chose not to prosecute obscenity.

Frankly, conservative judges on the Court aren't a bad thing. A conservative court has the tendency to support the law as its written, not try to interpret it into a new spin on the law.

Until someone gets popped and there's a case before some court, it's very much a wait and see game, especially when you take into account that these new regs will be signed into law in some sort of form prior to the election and the compliance date should fall ten days or so before the election. Leaving enough time for there to be a public "lynching" in the media of someone or other.
