I used to get nailed by ultrapasswords.com all the time. So I called his host. Ended up bullshiting on the phone with him for 2 hours I'd say.
He told me about the webmaster, some 20 year old dude in college, (i have it all in my notes) AnyThey have been sued by perfect 10 (i think). Dudes making the Bling Bling. Ended up paying only like 10g and running their banner for a tear so the story goes. Now get this: Ultrapasswords script suposedly runs on auto scanning all the password sites, forums, etc.....Collecting the user/passes and updating his list all automatically. Now still I am bullshiting with this guy and he tells me I should be happy for getting all the traffic. After thinking about it for a while he was right. If you have the correct software in place this is nothing but traffic. I know webmasters that even post passes on trading sites to get the traffic. These sites probably build decent bookmark traffic so I'm sure you tgp pimps can convert it. It's pretty decent amounts of traffic too. Also another note: CCBill sites get hit harder that Ibills from what I have seen. I think this has to do with the fact that the surfer can pick his own username and password. :2 cents: |

Actually, I think you have a point..
A couple of my customers refused the "protect your paysite from password traders" service for the whopping $10/mo we offer it at, so a posting usually lasts and hour or two before I notice a 20mbit/sec spike and go and kill the fucker. While it costs them like 50GB in bandwidth (for 2 hours usage. yeesh.), I've noticed in the proceeding week or so memberships for their sites jump considerably. Go figure. I think if I owned a paysite, I'd prolly "leak" a couple l/p's around and let them go a little while, and kill 'em. Also prolly make a "fake" membership area that requires a login, but only have it be a bunch of galleries. ;) (I'm sure people have done this shit, I know I'm going to.. fuck it.) -Phil |

They can fix that and have indentified the problem. #2. ccbill does offer a script which will stop members from choosing their own password - you have to ask for it.
