Awesome! let's get started on the open contests. We have a few great ones out there already!

Sexy Bear 01-22-2006 08:11 AM

Great contest.. moving a little slow here though. Nobody needs design? Or is everyone sleeping this weekend

brilsmurf 01-22-2006 08:19 AM

nice looking site, but did you carefully consider the big "conflict of interest". you'll run into similar problems like Disney ran into when they launched movies.com and tried to convince all other studios to work with them to promote it. you should consider spinning it off into it's own company/site asap with no ties to your main "design" company instead of using it as a brand extension. Keep any relationship between your design firm and your design marketplace "in stealth mode" or risk people assuming you're scooping up the best leads for yourselves. once again, nice looking site. Either way, good luck.

.

Platinumpimp 01-22-2006 09:40 AM

This thread isn't moving too fast. No money to be made here for sigwhores, thats probably why. :winkwink:

Bump for a nice concept.

Point well made, however, it's slightly reversed here, we are actually sending clients to the webisite, because we are putting our brand behind it. We are actually not seing any issues with designers signing up, as the system benefits them plenty.. they don't have to send the clients to the website to make money.

On the other hand, we guarantee to clients, that IF there are NOT ENOUGH entries in the site.. and ONLY IF, we will have our designers participate in the projects, to guarantee their satisfaction.

This is not a market we are in, this is a place we send clients whos got different requirements from what we usually take on, and for people who want to see multiple entries.

One designer can come up with a limited amount of great ideas for a logo (just as an example), and that's why contests are usually popular for those kind of items, especially when people are not sure of what they are looking for.

We simply automate the process of contests, bring customers & designers into a marketplace, and do our best to ensure both parties are satisfied, by serving as an escrow

Additionally, we allow designers to create portfolio, & solicit design work OUTSIDE of the ADC system. So we feel it's a great way for designers to advertise, once the system establishes itself well enough.

I'm about to launch my affilaite program for my t-shirt site. I need a designer who can make kick ass banners and ads to use with my affiliate program.

Check out my site - http://www.pornrockgear.com

Plenty of artwork and pics to provide for creative use.

Just registered to the site, I am definitely planning on using it seeing as I am shopping for a designer right this minute

penzo 01-23-2006 01:53 PM

this is a great idea, I'd like to test it....I am sure I will

Platinum Lantern 01-23-2006 02:20 PM

I started a contest on the day of the launch and I'm very happy with the results.

I got a chance to see several designers work and choose from the very best of what I saw.

I recommend it for both designers and people looking for quality design work

Marshal 01-23-2006 02:35 PM

keep posting, 169 is pretty close! :)
