edit; here you go: http://www.pikey.me.uk/mozilla/

Yup, I have that extension installed as well; it's great.

Also, for those of us that are using Firefox:

You can manually make a backup of all your extensions, bookmarks, settings, and everything else very easily. Here's how:

1. Shut down Firefox completely.

2. Locate your FF profiles folder (the default path is usually: C:\Documents and Settings\[Your Windows Username]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\ )

3. Save a copy of your Profiles folder (as well as the "Profiles.ini" file) to a safe place (separate drive, disk, etc.)

Now if anything should happen to your system or to Firefox and you have to completely reinstall Firefox, after installation go back to Firefox Profiles location (see above for default location) and replace the new Profiles folder and Profiles.ini file with your backed up version.

note: In order to see the "Application Data" folder, you may have to open Control Panel->Folder Options, click on the "View" tab, and select "Show hidden files and folders". :winkwink:

I lost all my bookmarks too. Watching video like you. I got all of my bookmarks back and never had done back up.

Do this:
You will need to change your folder view to show hidden files and folders. This can be done by clicking My Computer-->Tools-->Folder Options-->View-->tick the option next to Show Hidden files and folders.

Then, find this folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\Account\ApplicationData\Mozilla\Firefox\P rofiles\9theoxlg.default\bookmarkbackups

Where it says Account in the example, this will be the name of your user account. The path to your bookmarks may differ a bit, but it should be very close to the example above. You may need to be the administrator, or have administrators access to view this folder, as it contains important data related to your Firefox settings.

I saw 2 profile folders 1: the new one with hardly anything inside. #2 is the unused old profile with my 500k bookmarks html page. You can import it right back into firefox. Hope this helps!

Firefox cant lose bookmarks, it stores it in some obscure folder in your computer. I lost it once, made some research on Google, and found the path on my computer. You have a HISTORY of your bookmarks. I think they are automatically saved on a daily basis.

There's also a nifty program that does Firefox and Thunderbird backups.

Moz Backup
