this thread does prove though - again - that the majority of adult webmasters is opposed towards .xxx

I remember a similar poll about .xxx one month ago, and the results were quite similar - about 90% opposed to .xxx

Now, in recent documents sent to ICANN, ICM claims that only 20% webmasters are opposed towards .xxx.

I hope ICANN can see throguh their lies and false claims....

And now a question to Mr Lawley, he won't reply, although he browses GFY...

If the recent Xbiz seminar wasn't representative for the adult industry... and if GFY - the biggest webmaster discussion board, isn't representaive either, then... what place/forum/trade show/institution/organisation would be repreentative for the adult industry?

Ah well.... the situation is as clear as it is.... the overhelming majority of adult webmasters are strongly opposed towards the proposed .xxx tld.

Not only we don't see any advantages in the proposal, we see a huge threat in it, for our businessses, for freedom of spech etc.

I could go on... but I said all these things a good few times already.

I really don't want it approved, but I had to vote that way 'cause I was feeling sorry for all the morons....

I don't want it not just for what it will do to the adult business but the future repercussions

This is NOT A JOKE. We've already seen what Lawley does to spin anything he can twist to look remotely positive. I could see him trying to argue that 10% of the sponsored community supporting .xxx or being apathetic means there is enough interest that the domain should go forward.

I can't believe how unbelievably selfish or thoughtless it is to intentionally place a vote that doesn't honestly represent your feelings when so many people are working so hard to convey to ICANN what the community as a whole thinks. This is one of the few important threads on GFY, so please don't fuck it up.

Is it really worth the laughs you get to undermine what people are trying to do to defeat this?

Now... if you honestly believe that .xxx is beneficial and want it, then feel free to vote "yes." If you don't care or are undecided, READ ABOUT THE ISSUE before you vote. You won't be undecided once you understand how bad this could be for the industry.

In all honesty I do not think making it look as though Yes and I don't care voters will be retaliated against in this thread is smart as I have said over and over..

I have spoken to John from ScarlettContent about this and he now understands and no longer is a yes voter, which he publicly stated in this thread! You are correct... But I think that the votes have been honest for the most part.. The few people I have talked to after there vote are just more edicated and now have changed there position...


Either way it is a landslide, a solid 90% do not want this sTLD to be approved and that is what really matters and I hope icann realizes that no matter what kind of spin ICM puts on things these numbers are true and honest and can't be spun :2 cents:
