You don't really think I am shallow enough to judge anyone based on the color of their skin do you? What sealed Obama's fate was the shit his pal Rev. Jeremiah Wright spewed. The fact that Obama had attended Wright's church for years sealed his fate in my eyes. Do you really think that was the first time Wright said shit like that? For Obama to willingly continue to attend Wright's sermons for all those years and then feign outrage when Wright's comments are made public speaks volumes about him. |

Without mandatory insurance, the treatment of the uninsured drives up costs for the insured, ironically causing costs to rise to such a point where many can in fact not afford insurance any more. Not just because they're not paying for insurance and others end up paying for them, but also because their reluctance to seek treatment often leads them to delay treatment until mild, easily treated conditions have become so serious that they require much more expensive treatment. |
Listen up guys..
Obama is black.. that is a big problem for him. By the way i am black and obama supporter, i support him cuz clinton is same ol clinton.. But on to my point, I have a friend in west virginia, he is white, he went to school with me.. Anyway he went to polls to vote in a small town and the people were like are you going to vote for that fckin nig****. I rather die than see a ni**** rule this country.. I think 1 out of 4 PEOPLE IN WV actually admitted race placed a factor.. The other 3/4 didnt admit but you know race was part of it. Obama will make a good president but sheesh american isnt ready to have a black president yet. Maybe they are ready for a black vice president, but the problem is all these white people cant imagine a white man on top of them. Mccain is probably the luckiest bastard on earth. He doesnt even have to campaign in the fall. He'll have votes just because he is white. Yes people keep saying obama can unite the party, but you cant make someone who hates black like black people all of a sudden. Some people rather have a goat lead USA than a black man, thats how much they hate blacks. Ive visited states like Tennessee and i have witnessed racism first hand. You come into a store and all the white people stare at you like you just killed someone. It sucks, the democratic party is kinda idiotic. This is your chance to take the white house and you bring out a woman and a black man as the front runners? And now the black guy will get the nomination? Eh. Well im hoping Obama wins, but like I said mccain is one lucky mofo. Ill imagine redneck racist republics will come out in MASSES just to make sure obama doesnt win. I wont be suprised if the people counting the votes in these very white racist states "fuck it up" just to make sure Obama doesnt win. America has, and always will be a racist country. People forgot that not too long ago black people werent even considered full citizens, they had black bathroom, white bathroom, we were persecuted for no reason. Anyway, good luck. go obama 08! |

I APPROVE THIS MUTHA FUCKIN MESSAGE http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...Stud/Obama.jpg |
Quote:
If it isn't mandatory, very little will change from the current situation. What many Americans don't realize is just how bad the current situation is. Right now, America has the highest per capita health care costs in the world. It also has the highest rate of preventable deaths under 75 from treatable conditions of the top 20 wealthiest nations. If America did as well as the best-performing nations (which are, of course, ones with universal health care), it would save 100000 lives a year. That's over twenty times the number of American soldiers to have died in Iraq over the past 5 years. Obama undoubtedly knows this, too. By saying he doesn't want to make health insurance mandatory for those who can not afford it, he is effectively saying he will not make it affordable for everyone. That means the problem will not get solved. Costs will stay too high, tens of thousands of people will continue to die pointless deaths. Obama's stance on this issue is pandering of the worst kind. He's pretending to "protect" the people who can't afford health care, but at the cost of their own lives. |

Americans are so dumb and clueless, they seriosuly deserve Obama for president :1orglaugh

What troubles me is Obama's choice to use this particular issue as something to compromise on, and the way in which he does so. This particular type of pandering reduces the actual lives of people to a mere political tool. Another good example of Obama's pandering is Iraq. Undoubtedly, the war in Iraq should never have been started the way it was started. Undoubtedly, it is of the foremost importance that US troops are pulled back - especially because they are by their mere presence fueling the fire. However, Obama gives hard time tables for pulling back the troops. Since he does not know the future, there is a very real chance that sticking to such time tables brings the kind of instability to Iraq that could cost many thousands of Iraqi lives. It reminds me of Bush, to whom Colbert said: "Your beliefs are the same Wednesday as they were Monday, no matter what happens on Tuesday." Making these promises means one of three things. He is a liar, he is incapable of recognizing the possibility that something unforeseen happens, or he is someone who sticks to his plans no matter what happens - even if reality reveals his plans to be bad ones. Since he is not an idiot, either the first or the last is true. Either he is willfully making promises he knows are ridiculous, or he is making ridiculous promises, intending to follow through on them merely for political gain. Obama panders at least as much as the others. I hope he wins the general election (mainly because Clinton has no chance of getting the Democratic nomination), but the idea that he represents "change" from traditional politics is laughable. |

So in reality he COULD afford insurance he chooses to spend his money on other things and I'm supposed to pick up the difference? He's not the only one I see tons of people in my town that get food stamps and magically have money for cigareetes and beer. If you stop smoking and drinking you'd have enough for food. In my state you HAVE to have car insurance. So how is this different? Anyways medical saving accounts should count toward insurance and be tax deductable. I don't if the government takes care of things like childhood immunizations or subsidzing flu shots since these things pay off. |
So the ticket looks like it's either going to be:
Obama/Edwards or Obama/Richardson |

I find it funny that people are so quick to call non-obama supporters racist but they don't call the blacks who blindly support him racist. It is interesting that 90+% of blacks support Obama and that is seen as acceptable but when a small percentage of whites don't support him, they are labeled racist.
I simply don't think Obama would be a good president. I don't think McCain would either. I do however think McCain will win. |

After that of course it comes down to policy ideals and that's a different story being that I'm libertarian basically but it's an important point. |

I wouldn't mind Obama/Edwards. Perhaps the best chocie at this point. Dems are notorious for fucking things up though. Obama will defiantely pick a white guy though. Edwards is probably going for the AG post in an Obama administration not VP. Sure sounded like he was the VP candidate though didn't he? |

Wow .. that reeks of a backroom deal.
Maybe thats what 'change' means .... more backroom deals and golden handshakes :) You idiots deserve Obama or McCain. Both are as bad as eachother :) |

All these religious guys are fucking nuts. And personally, I don't really think Obama or his wife are Christian. They're far too educated to still be believing in organized religion. Unfortunately though, you can't make it far in politics unless you pretend to be a Christian. Which brings up something that would be interesting to see. Hook up all the Congressmen to a lie detector test and see how many of them really believe in God and how many are just bullshitting for votes. |
Quote:
Obama should look at Jim Webb from Virginia. The guy is a veteran, has a son in Iraq, and worked in the Reagan administration (and received high praise from him). |

Yeah, I guess she would make a great president. Her policies and morals are bought and sold by big business. Sounds right to me! |

Americans are still racist ... they try to cover it up, hide it , but it still is in the genes... In the corporate world, non-white executives are still , behind their back, called nigg_s , cotton pickers, tacos, camel jockey and so on ... Like the Iraquis, Americans claim that they love them, bla bla bla, freedom, bla bla bla ... but the truth is they are sand niggas to you, nothing more : sub humans ... They are there to serve you as it was . Its all for the show and now is the time when the true colours ( sic ) comes out :2 cents: So they will chose a junta supporter ( Burma ) and a corrupt politician as Mc Cain ( land deal to favor his top contributor ) even forgetting about all his flip-flops and lack of knowledge over a black because he is WHITE . Nice. |

As for racists, we all know racism exists. Try to picture a white guy walking into a store in the hood. I get the same stares you do, I just don't care. |

Tell me how many Sunni's vote for Shia candidates in Iraq? How many Kurds voted for a Sunni there? How many Shia in Lebanon do you think vote for anyone other than Hezbollah and their allies? How many Christians there vote for 'their leaders' all the same? How many Kenyan's vote outside their tribe? How many Japanese (a perfectly advanced and Westernized nation) would vote for ANYONE other than a fellow Japanese to be leader? It's fucking EVERYWHERE, and it dies very hard. You talk about it as if it is something exclusive to the US. Tell me why the Western world, white people exclusively are the only people capable of being racist? Or capable of being chastised for being such? It's fucking annoying when something like 50% of the country will likely still vote for a black leader that all you can do is focus on the much smaller portion who refused to simply because of their ignorance and his color. |
Quote:
He made it a point to note that he will give his commanders a new plan, to get us out of Iraq as safely as possible. Once they have this plan he will take their advice and suggestions on the safest way to do this into consideration and deal with problems as they arise. I understand your concerns, but to pretend he hasn't addressed them makes you sound like a neocon calling him a Muslim. |

Now think back 1 year. Your argument is the same one that was used when he decided to take on Hillary Clinton. Me not listening to this retarded thought process made me a fortune betting on that race and I will be betting on Obama in the general. Do you have the balls to put your money where your mouth is? |
I am a 39 year old white man with no college degree. My official stance here today will be to chastise any of the racists that have posted in this thread. As an American, I hate the fact that racism is even an issue. I stand as an example of the future and am proud of the fact that I will raise my children to reject racists as ignorant people. I have made a habit of distancing myself from people who display traits of ignorance (like racism) for years now and my life is MUCH better for it. I find that who I associate with has a huge impact on my life as a whole... so I will continue to surround myself with intelligent and open minded people.

YOU=RETARD. How am I "fucking" my neighbor? What happend of taking care of your own? why should I pay higher taxes because people CHOOSE not to buy health insurance under the guise they can't afford it and yet they drive $30,000 cars and have money for beer, cigs designer clothes, huge HDTV etc etc? Requiring someone to take care of their family is "controlling" their lives, but somehow forcing ME to pay for their medical needs so they can live the high life isn't? |
