This post destroys your arguments. Obama has been 100% clear about the timetables and the fact that unforseen events can lead things to change.

He made it a point to note that he will give his commanders a new plan, to get us out of Iraq as safely as possible. Once they have this plan he will take their advice and suggestions on the safest way to do this into consideration and deal with problems as they arise. I understand your concerns, but to pretend he hasn't addressed them makes you sound like a neocon calling him a Muslim.

Quote:

"Obama will immediately begin to remove our troops from Iraq. He will remove one to two combat brigades each month, and have all of our combat brigades out of Iraq within 16 months. Obama will make it clear that we will not build any permanent bases in Iraq. He will keep some troops in Iraq to protect our embassy and diplomats; if al Qaeda attempts to build a base within Iraq, he will keep troops in Iraq or elsewhere in the region to carry out targeted strikes on al Qaeda." (emphasis added by me)
Note the use of the word "will", instead of alternatives such as "intends to", "aims to", "plans to", etc.

Now, for comparison:

http://www.hillaryclinton.com/issues/Iraq/

Quote:

The most important part of Hillary's plan is the first: to end our military engagement in Iraq's civil war and immediately start bringing our troops home. As president, one of Hillary's first official actions would be to convene the Joint Chiefs of Staff, her Secretary of Defense, and her National Security Council. She would direct them to draw up a clear, viable plan to bring our troops home starting with the first 60 days of her Administration.
Both want to end the war, and pull out the troops. However, Obama makes a ridiculous promise which might prove impossible to keep, while Clinton does not.

Obama panders. It's an undeniable fact. Of course, so do Clinton and McCain, but the fact that so many people are falling for Obama's obviously misleading claim to bring change is deeply disturbing.

Obama is using "old politics" to attack "old politics". He is exploiting people's aversion of politicians exploiting issues for their own political gain for his own political gain. Certainly, this is a remarkable strategy. It borders on political genius. It also proves beyond a doubt that many voters are gullible idiots.

Sadly, the same exact stuff happens to women so it's not just blacks that get stepped on in the corporate world. I think sometimes blacks think they are the only people who have it tough. As a matter of fact, I think a black man has a better chance of getting promoted over a woman of any color. Of course, a white man would get promoted before the rest of us.

Edwards who? Oh John Edwards.. I remember him. hehehe j/k

But I dont think he'd ever be VP. Speculation is he'd get Attorney General.

Richardson? What a lump. If Obama picked him for VP, I really think it'd be one of the largest bungles ever. I dont see it happening. All the guy can do is talk about his own past when he worked for Bill Clinton. He's so predictable in his self-servitude that it's just a waste of time to stick a microphone on him, let alone a VP sticker. Also it wont matter if he would help Obama win new mexico when Obama could lose a bunch of other states.

You know a lot of primaries and caucuses had already been held long before Obama ran into any troubles. Lord only knows how those would go if they all re-voted today. But thats always the case, I'm just saying.

I find it amazing how strong the more recent votes have been for Clinton. Kudo's to the lady for finishing so strong, whether it gets her anything or not remains to be seen. Then again it's not over yet is it? I know tv people and such like to say it's over. They also said it was over after super tuesday, and every day since then "when is she gonna quit?" lol. To watch american tv you'd hardly believe it was as close to a 50% to 50% race as you can get.

I have made a habit of distancing myself from people who display traits of ignorance (like racism) for years now and my life is MUCH better for it. I find that who I associate with has a huge impact on my life as a whole... so I will continue to surround myself with intelligent and open minded people.

This is kinda heavy if you think about it

I mean really think how much a person life changes if they remove or stay away from all the ignorant, loser type people in the world

that would be similar to eating healthy
staying away from harmful relationships and excercise....except it would be the stuff thats good for life

I applaud you

I mean that is a seriously good idea

in fact from now on... I dont give a shit if a person was my best buddy before

I will avoid ignorant people at all cost for a month as a test

very serious

completely avoid them
