You may not appreciate Colin Powell, but you can agree with some of his comments at least.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27265369/ "But he said McCain’s choices in the last few weeks — especially his selection of Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska as his vice presidential running mate — had raised questions in his mind about McCain’s judgment." .. "“Every day, there was a different approach,” he said, adding that he also “would have difficulty with two more conservative appointments to the Supreme Court.”" |

Tony, we live in the interesting times.
Folks with money and over 250k incomes like me vote Obama and millions of "no pot to piss in" rednecks voting McCain. Go figure. |

Zogby is a piece of shit poll. If anything this will motivate obama supporters not to stay home and actually go vote.

Barack Obama again leads John McCain nationally by 10 points among all registered voters, 52% to 42%.

You can't read too much into one poll. If you could, I could say Obama is up by 14.
Realclearpolitics and Pollster.com have averages of all the major polls, that number is most likely the most accurate. (right now Obama +5) The only new polls reporting right now are the daily tracking polls, which fluctuate wildly. The "real polls" taken after the debate (NBC/WSJ, Zogby's regular (not tracking) polls, Yahoo/AP, CBS/Washignton Post) will come out on Tuesday or Wednesday, and that's when we'll know if the momentum is shifting or not. :2 cents: |
Obama 51.6%, McCain 42.0%
Pollster John Zogby: “Three big days for Obama. Anything can happen, but time is running short for McCain. These numbers, if they hold, are blowout numbers. They fit the 1980 model with Reagan's victory over Carter -- but they are happening 12 days before Reagan blasted ahead." http://www.zogby.com/news/ReadNews1604.html |
NBC/WSJ poll released last night shows Obama up 10.
And even the Reuters/Zogby tracking poll that the thread starter was talking about bounced back to 6 points the very next day. Tracking polls are screwy like that. |
