Actually, it is that clear.

1. Wouldn't matter if adult, or not. It is still a virtual transaction.

Meaning no tracking number, nor tangible, so it would not be covered. Unless, you sent the design to them on disk, and you have a UPS tracking number or something to that effect.

I have heard this directly from PayPal on my disputes. Whether adult or not, if you can't PROVE you delivered (i.e. mail and tracking) then you have no case says PayPal.

Are we clear?

I was under the impression that we are discussing if the transaction is allowed at all, not if it's covered under "seller protection", but doesn't matter now, the thread turned a whole new direction....

Paypal is going to ask the seller to prove you sent him something, and by that...they mean physically mailed to him in a package. If you can't prove that, the buyer will be able to get his money back. Doesn't matter what type of transaction it was, if you can't prove that you actually sent him something via USPS, FedEx, et al...they will more than likely win their claim against you.

ajrocks 10-31-2008 11:18 AM

Paypal is ass. If you are doing adult you shouldn't go near them. They shut down accounts they say are adult and don't release the funds.

If you wanted a nav bar why did you approve the design without one? MONTHS AGO????

I like many other designers give clients final mock ups. If the client approves, that is what they get. Designers DO NOT go and change a site MONTHS after client has approved and delivery of the site.

Get real. I do suggest you idiots approve the paypal offer or risk getting your account closed by paypal.

Well if the website had been done months ago then I can see why you would bitch. Since it was done only a month ago and you were asked to add a nav bar a little over three weeks ago I am not sure why you are bitching. Greg didn't send me in here. I saw it last night before I went to bed. For some strange reason you brought my name into the thread after you said in an e-mail I was not your client Greg was. As for being hated you are pretty much hated on here as well. You and your design skills are a laugh.

I did not pick him and most of his contact was with Greg not me. For some reason he mentioned my name in here. Also just because I fuck around on here does not mean I do that in business. He was asked to build a certain type of site and he failed to to do that. It is as simple as that. :2 cents:

You mean this Paypal offer?

Refund Offer From JNR Outdoors Oct. 30, 2008 Unclaimed Details $50.00 USD

Fuck you. I am not taking your $50 offer. You originally offered to give back $320, that offer I will take. I would rather see you lose your Paypal account than take $50. :2 cents:

I never offered to give you anything back you lying bitch. Why dont you shut your mouth and let Greg handle his problem since you claim he is the one dealing with me? You people are something else. You approve a design MONTHS ago and now try to blackmail me for $320 because you want another change to your design.

What part of this do you not understand? You approved it without a nav bar. Now MONTHS later you want one. Fuck you.

And yes we will both loose the account. ;)

I'm a little late to the drama table, but I'll take a seat, cos this statement can be used in evidence...

Designing is the hardest shit in the world, because you've got to please everyone. Programming sites is easy shit, cos once it works efficiently it works. All those million/day hits never see why it works, they just see it works. If the design sucks, you can kiss goodbye to those hits and signups :2 cents:

Well, I started out talking shit to headless; but here are the facts.

- He has a portfolio that shows his style of work.
- If you don't like his style then don't hire him
- If you hire him then pay what was agreed upon.
- Asking for changes a month later is a new job requiring additional payment.
- Charging back on paypal is fucking stupid.
- Paypal will rule in his favor because you downloaded the product and accepted it.
- There is no proof whatsoever that he did not do the job.

Design is a creative process, if you don't give great detail for the process then the
designer must "fill them in". If you don't like the "filler" then it's your mistake not to
have specified it to begin with.

The key language for me was "Flowers in the design".
Did you request no flowers????????????????

No.

So he has to design and read minds.

Get a grip and move on if you don't like the design.

About the $320 : He probably did $500 of shit he never charged you for.
So if you want things to be fair then send him another payment for $180 and all will be fair.

You are correct in saying that people are able to see his portfolio, but in my case with dealing with him...what he delivered was garbage, even compared to the shit he does usually have in his portfolio.

You are absolutely 100% INcorrect when you say that Paypal will find in his favor because the buyer downloaded the product. If headless can prove that he physically mailed them the product (which we know he didn't), then Paypal will lean towards the buyer in this instance. That's just how they work it.
