I've cut back to just a few hits before bed, but for some reason Its making me slightly paranoid for the first time. Guess its just magnifying things and not good things right now. |

Sorry to hear about your situation sticky. I know you'll be fine. Regarding pocketkangaroo - FUCK YOU AND YOUR SHALLOW SELF SERVING ATTEMPT TO APPEAR TO BE A NORMAL HUMAN. I always knew you were a psycho mess "pocketkangaroo". Your mental health issues have been obvious for a long while now. Just look at your board behavior. Your posts tell the story. Nobody cares when a person like you suffers like you do. In fact, most can't wait to shit on your early grave you xanax addicted empty shell of a human. Your soft brain has never met a drug it didn't crave. Your mental psychosis is funny as shit to most everyone on gfy! Treat people like you want to be treated you torn brown hole. . |

Eat xanex, get a better doctor and insist on going in for tests tomorrow, if the first one won't take you make you symptoms worse for the next. my dad got booted out of emergency rooms for decades saying it was just panic attacks and it turns out they were most likely all minor heart attacks which they didn't figure out till he had a huge one, and now he's got a pacemaker defib unit in his chest, was in the hospital for almost a year and given days to live cause he only has 25% of his heart left working. Echocardiogram motherfucker! |

Do not smoke weed if you are having anxiety/panic attacks. It will make them worse. It also helps to cut back on caffeine. The key to panic attacks is not to focus on the symptoms. I know that is hard, but the more you think about them the more you will feed into it. Try and get some Xanax, Klonopin, or Ativan from the doctor to help you when you feel stressed. I hope that you feel better soon. |

Smokeable won't heart your heart, at least not that much.. if your problem is purely stress, I'd recommend it.. HOWEVER.. if you're having anxiety and panic attacks, don't smoke, don't drink, don't do crap but start getting good sleep and get away from stress. Yeah - if you actually have heart problems the aspirin is a good idea. But - a theraputic dose is like 10 mgs (not sure of the number - about half of a normal aspirin) per day. Don't party until you talk to the doc and get your results. Rest, read, drink water (some gatorade won't hurt!), and eat several small meals throughout the day. When the doc says it's anxiety, celebrate and party a little.. just don't overdo it.. If you get a chance to come down, yell. |

The symptoms of a panic attack appear suddenly, without any apparent cause. They may include: racing or pounding heartbeat (palpitations); chest pains; stomach upset; dizziness, lightheadedness, nausea; difficulty breathing, a sense of feeling smothered; tingling or numbness in the hands; hot flashes or chills; dreamlike sensations or perceptual distortions; terror: a sense that something unimaginably horrible is about to occur and one is powerless to prevent it; a need to escape; fear of losing control and doing something embarrassing; and fear of dying. |
Take it easy mate, rest up until you see the doc.

I am so sorry you are going through this. You are going to be ok, and it really does get better. Go see your doctor as soon as you can and have him/her give you a Benzo to help you when you feel panicky. Also stay away from caffeine. Caffeine makes panic attacks worse. |

Btw if anything good came out of what happened to Bjjb its that I made sure to goto get checked right away. Maybe he is smiling down. When he was hurt due to the spider bite I was planning on driving up to Kentucky to help him out, but before I could the worst happened. RIP |
Eat better since well your diet has been a bit off to say the least. I would add in some fiber as well just to help get everything moving. lay off anything that could be stressing you out. For panic reasons, lay off the smoking all together. Watch out on taking the aspirin every time you get signs if they are close together, do not want to thin the blood to much or take to many. Get a whole lot more rest. Do not just sit at your desk or computer all day/night. Walk around some, actually lay down, relax. Get better and seek follow ups.

Also, there's no way in hell they would have let you out of the hospital that fast if they thought this was about your heart. Try to relax as best you can and maybe plan a trip to Panama or something :thumbsup Hang in there, you'll be fine. |

I just did a song I didn't think I could do, and realized having the wisdom tooth I had taken out a few months back did wonders for my range, and I have a bit more vibrato now than I did before. I pretty much had a mild case of lock jaw type symptoms for a long time cause of 4 impacted wisdom teeth. Now that my mouth has room my voice is coming back to what I used to be able to do 10 years ago. So that raised my spirits. |
Goddamnit Ryan! Get your shit together. You are gonna be in Vegas in a couple of months and you are going to have to be at full strength.
Take those aspirin every day and as soon as you get the green light from the doctor...it's cardio time. And then when internext hits, you'll be ready to come to Vegas and we'll drink and fuck whores all night. You're ticker will have to be at 100% or else you'll have to stay far away from me...hanging with me could kill ya. :) ICQ me tomorrow and let me know what's going on. :) |

Good to hear you are OK. :thumbsup
I would try to get that check up sooner than next week, if at all possible. Maybe try the heart association in your town as they will see you if you have already visited the ER. The Heart Association will do full workups and you don't leave until they are complete...usually a full day will be spent there.....better to be safe. |
Time to take a rest...
|
didn't know there was so many cardiologists on GFY.... quite refreshing. here i was thinking the board was full of idiots.. turns out everyones got 8 years of medical school under their belt
i feel silly. |
Good luck, let us know what the results are. Maybe see a shrink briefly too. Hidden stress isn't so good either. Hope you get a clear bill of health. Did the ekg or tests show that you definitely had a minor heart attack?

jeez bud you are too young for this crap!! hope all is well and take care of yourself!
Play you Les Paul a bit more, its good for you! :) |
Geez Sticky, take things more easy. You're a young guy. Good thing it wasn't serious, like an actual heart attack. Consider it a wake-up call to change your lifestyle indefinitely to avoid the real thing from ever happening.
|
Ryan, try to relax ..... this is serious shit.

Feeling better today. No arm numbness or anything. Had a bit of anxiety today and now that I know what it is I can control it a bit better. Part of what made it worse yesterday was panicking about what I thought it was. lol |
Hope you feel better

Take some rest, life is precious dear

WTF sticky !!!!
Stay healthy man .. take care of yourself .. I'm not one to talk as I was on that road too. Luckly I had friends that noticed me slipping and with enough Nagging were able to get me to change my ways ... however one of my bestfriends, whom is younger then me. looks to be in better health also had A HA a few weeks back, also due to his eating habits and stress .. the worst part is that it happened infront of his kids, on a beach while on vacation!! taught him a lesson he'll never forget .. I thank god eveday for sparing his life .. and now for yours too .. Please dude ...take good care of yourself May the force be with you ;) |

Guess you were lucky then. They tell right away with that first enzyme test if it was a heart attack or not. Something about when heart tissue dies (heart attack)there is a detectable enzyme or whatever. They took mine, came back and looked 10 times more concerned. Sounds like yours went the other way, so good for you!
And by the way, dont go to the extreme. After all my shit, I was back to work 4 days after my operation, but then a few months later I really lost touch with a lot of people in an effort to AVOID stress, and it just made me stress more worrying about losing touch. So find some sort of balance and good luck. |
You can always find time for yourself...
