The Federal Minimum Sentencing Guideline for an infraction of 2701 is six months.
If the breech was for any commercial gain, the typical sentence runs from one to two years. |

For the record, I never said I thought it was ok. I simply asked for evidence that it is actually illegal.
Carry on. |

Did I happen to mention that I DON'T REALLY GIVE A FUCK whether it's illegal or not?.......If so, carry on.

This thread is scary. Remind me to use some fucked up password for my test signups.

Fuck that amateur shit, next time log into his account, delete ALL his emails, and leave a note in the mailbox: "Next time you chargeback I'll break your legs" That will teach him not to fuck with adult websites...

unauthorized access to AOL email Posted by Anonymous . updated on 12/30/2008 i was charged and and convicted of a felony count of unauthorized access to email (violation of USC 1030 and 2701) which carries a 5 year prison sentence. I did not read unopened email. I had no idea I was committing a felony. I am concerend for myself obviously but what about all these other people on this blog who are admitting they accessed email without authorization. The federal prisons are going to fill up fast and a goverment task force will need to be establhised to catch them. Probation officers will have to be hired to supervise them. Anyone wnat to file amicus curae for me? from: http://www.legalforce.com/free-legal...-email_16.html And for the record, I'm wasn't giving BVF a hard time. I just thought he should know that he just confessed to a federal felony in a public forum. If he did perform the act that he claims, and I don't know if that's so, then the first call to a lawyer will cost more than the bill he's chasing. Oh, and posting that you don't give a fuck about the feds always improves matters... :) |
Proving that your confirmation email hit his inbox doesn't prove anything anyways.
There are a zillion reasons why it was charged back. From him not being happy and bitching to a stolen card/hacked or fake email issue. What was the reason listed? |

it doesnt matter if reading someones email is against law or not, breaking others privacy is wrong, and because you as owner of paysite have access to datas like email and user:pass, that doesnt mean you can manipulate with them and use them. didnt you sign something like privacy agreement and that you cannot use any informations of your members when you created account at ccbill?
|
Damn looks like I'm going to start using my members credit card info soon.... I mean.... they left it there for me to use.

Whenever I am in my house, I keep the door unlocked. Anyone who wishes to come round unannounced and enter my house without my permission is more than welcome. The only condition is that you have to suffer a brutal, vicious, and possibly life ending attack from my relentless 105lb German Shepard.

Not that anyone will ever go after you, but its criminal trespass. One of my dating affiliates got popped for it via using university students emails to send mass emails a couple years back, cost him 50k in legal fees + restitution to the university and a suspended sentence. The crime they charged him with was electronic trespass, which was a new one back then on his states books...
Hand over the info to the authorities and let them deal with it. |

Did you forward all his incriminating emails to his significant other?

What I still don't understand is where the stereotype of the lawless ignorant black man comes from in the first place! :winkwink:
|
Nothing may happen as far as the law goes, but ccbill pulled the processing a couple years ago from another sponsor who admitted doing something similar on a board.
|
wtf, we have a case where some asshole charges back , and someone is smart enough to check if he can prove it.. those fuckwits who charge back for no reason cost us money, so who gives a fuck if he found the proof in the email account.
glad to see everyone here is more interested in the rights of the asshole who charged back who was stupid enough to use the same password as his email account |

More importantly, I don't know why so many people are hating on BVF. He's just fucking around with a scamming thief. No harm in that :thumbsup |

Do your thing BVF.
Let the haters hate. You where here long before most of them and will be around long after they are gone. |
Very clever strategy, but bragging about it probably not so wise.
|
Umm doing a chargeback for something you purchased is not fraud. If he is not happy with the service he got he has a right to chargeback.
|
You guys really freak out over chargebacks, jesus.
It's a fact of life in porn. Phone sex companies get 5-10 a month.. usually if it's a big number.. it's more than one call by one customer.. but still.. It's just a $99 chargeback. Your company will go on. |
