And to think i was more worried about themeatic linking, using proper semantics and silo structures on my websites, and all i really had to do was worry about my PR.

SEO has evolved so much in the past few years (even months), and if you do not understand how and why the engines give weight to certain site(s) and not others your in for a major shock.

That wasn't what this was about... It was about high rankings with PR 0.

The home page ranks for competitive terms, but that wasn't the point. It was about the tens of thousands of pages. PR discussion and someone saying that we don't have thousands of pages with PR 0 that rank.

Also, for such shitty, low traffic keywords it's not hard to rank with a PR0

Your both right... developing a system of 500,000+ pages targeting multiple keywords via multiple sub domains for every city in the country, utilizing zip code radius lookups, nearby cities and major cities was stupid.

It only makes sense to target highly competitive key phrases with lots of competition.

Please do that and I'll pick up the long tail less competitive key phrases that only take a PR 0. I don't know what the hell I'm doing... That's why I'm recruiting affiliates.

Sorry but IMO ranking for a specific keyword means 1 word only.

People make me LOL when they say my site ranks #1 for the term:

Live webcam sex. <------ THIS IS NOT A KEYWORD! it's a phrase!

When you get ranked #1 for the word Adult, then you've got some good SEO.

Just a thought.

And for the record i'm not saying it's a bad thing to be ranked high for keyphrases! just making observation.

Hookup, (sorry just returned back home and saw this) I wasnt trashing the serps or the page rank, and certainly not your site.

What I had a problem with is your statement that you have top spots for 'tens of thousands of terms'. If you are first for a serp that gets 0 clicks a day, I hardly see why you would even mention being first for it.

Its pretty simple really, your site has 30k indexed pages (see here) , so unless every page thats cached is first for its terms (tens of thousands of serps on dif pages), its just not factual. Furthermore, only 233 of those pages are even worthy of being displayed in the main serps, the rest are 'supplemental'.

Again, I'm not trying to trash anyone, but I can spot a S.E.O Bullshit artist 3 page loads before I even make it to the thread. And I knew there would be atleast a few in here bragging about how well their shit smells.

Your site looks like its doing well, no need to try to sugarcoat it so we think its bigger then it is. A simple search in google will answer everything for those who understand enough to look.

1. I don't come to these boards everyday because I know everything... I come to learn AND share what I've learned.

2. We didn't start an affiliate program because I thought I was the best... i started an affiliate program because I knew that there are people that study and have tricks way beyond what I know.

3. I don't mind the sarcastic ego trippin... I can hold my own. I'm not an SEO guru... It's just one of the many things that I know a little about.

ps. I think we are going through a reindex as we used to have 360,000 pages cached... Totally familiar with site: - Look at it daily.

theres tons of factors, but PR basically ranks how much value google sees a site having. if you dont think thats important for seo then you're an idiot.
