Yes, I do support it. And I am a registered Republican.

If religious institutions don't want to define marriage to include gay people, there should and will be a constitutional amendment one day as each state keeps losing the battle.......that will define marriage to include two people regardless of gender. It may be a civil ceremony; but, it will be marriage recognised by the IRS and the legislative bodies. And, this is as it should be.
I have never met a gay man who 'chose' to be gay. Knowing you are and choosing it are different. With everything I've learned, I believe that gender identification is biology with possibly an environmental trigger.....we are born straight or gay. sure, we can sublimate whatever we are born as because societal demands and religious expectations might force us to lean that way. All things considered, we are born to be attracted to whom we are attracted. Whether or not we approve or disapprove, truly it is none of our business. And, there is no reason to believe that gay men and women will do a better or worse job of raising a child than straight people. I say give them a chance to fuck up kids, just like straight people have been doing it for thousands of years. now, THAT'S equal opportunity. in all reality, studies have shown that kids raised by those who are physically, mentally handicapped or different as in gay, grow up far more empathetic, compassionate, and aware than those who are raised in narrow minded, angry, fearful homes. Joy to the world, as far as I'm concerned. Besides, it is good for the economy. Let gays marry. Have ceremonies. It's a whole cottage industry worth billions. Gay couples are great for the porn industry, just as straight couples are, just as gay singles and straight singles are. If we would mind our own business and just let everyone be, within reason, we could all have great lives. |

if you are attracted to both sexes are you "born gay" if you are a female that has been raped or abused by a male and has major issues with bonding or trusting males and gravitates towards female relationships are you "born gay" i don't think there is any agreement at all or scientific consensus as to why people are gay. i certainly don't think there is consensus to the fact that its black and white and can't be both combination's of both genetic and psychological factors or one or the other. |

A lot of places plural marriages still fly where monogamy isn't even a thought. That "understanding of marriage" you speak of has many many incarnations throughout the world and a lot of them are not in the vein of traditional nuclear families. Gay couples can have the nuclear family structure you seem romantic about with 2 loving parents caring for their children; often as good, if not better than a dysfunctional male/female marriage. If a couple looking to adopt can pass the tests and qualifications for a stable, loving environment, why not allow them to adopt. It's not like allowing gay marriage will open up the floodgates to allow people to marry animals, enter into polygamous marriages, or some other extremely odd derivation to where the proponents from groups such as NOM bring to hyperbole can, should or would come to pass. Allowing more equal rights WILL happen. As for your earlier example of morbidly obese people at movie theaters, they can sit in a damn wheelchair and take up one of the many handicapped spots already available in theaters. To your colorblindness example... um? They are already colorblind and can't see the extra colors regardless so I fail to see how anything would change for them or how any extra concessions could be made. |

Personally no. I fully respect gay people, they've had no choice in the matter, however I think to a degree they have to accept society and respect others. Environment does play a role in sexuality I think (perhaps not the complete role), when you look at Ancient Greece (and the proliferation of homosexual behavior) or prison, or even heterosexually what we find attractive in a partner is in large part determined from where and how you grew up.
So if I establish that (at least to myself) the question is whether or not I believe we should have a society that essentially encourages homosexuality - and I don't. I think confusing children with homosexual behavior on tv, in public and normalized in marriage, etc is really not ideal. |
How about this...
Marriage = Legal License between a man and a woman Civil Union = Legal License between a same sex couple. To me the debate is over the use of the word "Marriage". If the U.S. were to enact a law that grants all U.S. citizens the same and equal rights whether it be a "Marraige" or a "Civil Union" would this not solve the problem??? Why must the gay community be so adamant about the semantics of the word marriage and not embrace the term "Civil Union" as their own? To me this would create the unity needed at the national level to take the issue to Washington via a united front rather than fighting the battle in 50 separate arenas. _ _ |

As for the evolutionary standpoint, it does offer some positive effect. The fact they have evolved to this stage in countless species shows that it has some benefits to our overall survival as a species (lots of theories on this). |
I personally support it because I don't really care. If two gay people want to get married, it has zero effect on me or my life. It's a natural occurence amongst our species and we shouldn't treat it any different than race, ethnicity, or hair color. The same arguments used against it were used against interracial marriage.
Ultimately marriage is just a legal document that gives you some tax benefits and rights in hospitals and such. If a Church refuses to marry, that's fine, but our government shouldn't be deciding who we choose to spend our lives with. |

actually many hetero people turned out to be gay after having children and being married to a woman.. fucking retards |

i think you are making the "positive effect" up. the only positive benefit is population control. i can't imagine any other accepted scientific theories as to what positive role homosexuality plays in any animal species as it pertains to their evolution and survival. |
I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion on this topic however my thoughts on it are that if it don't effect me personally why should I care? What you do in your personal life is your business and as long as it does not impact my life to drastically I have no problem with it. I have several gay and lesbian friends and I support their lifestyle 100%. Only down fall about approving gay marriage is meaning that more of my friends are likely to get hitched and I am gonna have to fork out $$$ for gifts. LOL

Some believe that the demeanor of homosexuals are beneficial to society. That being less aggressive, there was a better chance that they would survive. That their demeanor was more attractive to women and even beneficial to males in the group. Sexuality isn't black or white and is a lot more complex than we realize. Homosexuals reproduce. Nonetheless, marriage isn't about reproduction. It's about some tax benefits, patient rights, and heir rights. We often look at legal marriage as something more but it isn't. It's simply a legal classification. A Church has every right to discriminate in my opinion whether I think it's right or wrong. But I don't believe our government has that same right. Here's a nice piece on the topic. Ton of other scientific studies out there about evolution and homosexuality. http://www.newscientist.com/article/...sexuality.html http://evolution-101.blogspot.com/20...ty-evolve.html |
I honestly get surprised each time someone from our industry doesn't support equal rights for all. I mean we fight so hard for our rights as an industry.

In my experience those who bash gays and the supporters of gay rights, are usually insecure about their sexuality(secretly love the cock) and feel they have to resort to bashing |
no
Because they will probably stop buying gay site memberships .

its not your experience.. its an opinion spread by faggots to fight normal people, they themselves dont believe that, they just need a stupid argument for their ass fucking sessions :321GFY I dont like faggots, I dont like trannies and I wont support them because I dont like them , logical.. ..period.. there is nothing to discuss.. if you dont like politics you wont support politicians.. Is it clear? And I am not really sure what other way to express it would be safe if not clearly state it? In your logic all gay haters are actually gays? Well then all of us have to love them to be straigh right? Hahah fuck you |
It seems like some of those who oppose same sex marriage aren't against gay marriage so much as they're against gayness in general. They appear to be afraid that they can encourage people to be gay. That is the stupidest thing. You can't encourage people to become gay and people who were married and had kids didn't become gay, they always were gay. I 100% support encouraging people who are gay to come out and be gay because I strongly oppose gay people marrying straight people, unless they're both fully aware of the situation.
Here's how sexual orientation works. You're attracted to the characteristics of a particular gender, or maybe both. Sexual orientation goes even deeper than that, as anyone who's worked with any niche content will tell you. You can run advertisements for chicks stepping in dog food all day, but I'm still not going to be into it. Male characteristics, also not something I'm into. So there is no choice for me. I can't choose gay. I could go have sex with men all day long, but I'd just be a closet straight guy. If you seriously believe that it is a choice, and that you can choose to be gay, then you're at least a little bi if not gay. Otherwise it wouldn't be a choice for you. Some people don't care about this subject, as it doesn't apply to them. I can't be so detached. Even if I didn't have gay friends, I'd still care about this issue. If some oversensitive bitches get weirded out by whatever relationship that I'm consensually involved I'm fine. If they wanted to set up laws to discriminate against me and my significant other, I would be pissed off, and in a breaking bones kind of way. If you got to outlaw things because some oversensitive people were weirded out our entire industry would be illegal. If porn weirds people out, they can not watch it. If gay marriage weirds you out, you can not get gay married. However, having whiners try to force me out of the relationship of my choice isn't something that I find tolerable. Apparently Dena loves me, so I am invincible. |
I support it but I dont approve that they could adopt a child :2 cents:
|
I will support gay marriage once homosexuals support marriage for those who practice incest, bestiality and polygamy
