Thanks, everyone, for your input on our new name. We made the change after giving it a lot of thought, and we decided on AmeriNOC in order to present a more professional image to a wider range of clientele. That said, we are absolutely NOT leaving the adult industry -- rather, we will continue to provide you with the same reliable service that we always have. In fact, we're actually improving, with new features and new pricing structures. We'll post an announcement when these things are finalized.

We're grateful to our loyal adult industry clients, and we look forward to providing you with the same excellent service as AmeriNOC.

I understand the reason for the name change, but I'll definitely miss the Phatservers brand.

AmeriNOC is way more pro sounding than "Phat" servers.

It is but it's also boring, people will remember the name phatservers way more likely than just another typical corp name. I seriously doubt they've actually lost customers because their name isn't some typical corp name. Hell look at google, when you think about it the name sounds ridiculous but that didn't stop them and a lot of other companies.

best of luck with the change guys.

I'm looking to move off HostGator and I've used Phat before and liked it, just didn't like having to email them to add a domain, is that still going on? Or can I do everything myself via DA?

It's plastered on both sites and in my sig, SFEVER09.

Does anyone have a phone number to reach them?
Their main phone number is nothing but a machine and I need to contact someone from management.

DOH, I seen your sig before reading this reply and promptly signed up, but never did the 3 month payments... blasted!

Oh well, I loved PhatServers when I was with you guys couple years ago, but I wanted to try others out, and that damn DNS entry shit annoyed me, but I think I'll come back. Awaiting my shit to be setup. :thumbsup

You are right ,we have never lost customers because of the name. Once a customer is with us, they get an experience you won't get at other hosting companys.

Now lost potential customers because of the name... Yes it has happened as you can see in this thread some of the first impressions potential customers have had.
