fuck i dont know what to do. i know if i had a full time programmer at my disposal i could blow the site up beyond anyone's wildest dreams. the site hit 400,000 uniques yeserday, and i know i could get it up to a million uniques a day if i tube'd it up a bit.

obviously i don't want to sell my baby... 10 years old this october. i still have people telling me that it was the first site they saw on the web and that it made them want to do sites etc... its going to be a hard decision.

right now i have over 40 ppl making offers. i never in my wildest dreams though so many people would be interested.

You just need to bring back quality blog posts - cut back on the spam on the index and add some tubeshit to it and you'll be EPIN again

i don't NEED to sell, i just think maybe i SHOULD sell because the guy that has been my right hand man wants to join a legit tech company, and i just really can't see myself doing it without him. he's also my best friend and it just wouldn't feel right. so i think it's time to see what offers are out there.

If in a year or so you aren't happy with the newly assembled team, well then you can sell. Better to regret not selling, than to regret selling it. I say hold onto it man, like everyone else is saying. If that is your baby and the only reason you're selling it is because your buddy got another opportunity, it doesn't seem like a good enough reason. I can guarantee you will regret it later. Especially now with so many people looking for jobs in this economy, there is plenty of talented people who would JUMP at the opportunity to work with you and help you build what you want. Good luck w/ whatever you do with it though, your site was one of the originals and I have mad respect for what you've done.

Stile Project and all my sites (you can see the list on www.stilenet.com) are now for sale. I've been running Stileproject.com since October 1999 ...That's a long fucking time! I started the site in my moms basement in my last year of high school, and pretty much didn't leave the house for 7 years. I went from age 21 to 29 without having sex, just working on this site.

stile, what happened in october to give the site such a traffic boost? looks like it was down to about 15k alexa, then all of a sudden up to top 5k. then another jump in january to top 2k. the difference between 15k in alexa and 2k is probably about 300k uniques a day. from experience stuff like this just doesn't happen with an established site so i'm wondering how you explain the jumps? might help prospective buyers who're wondering. good luck with the sale..
