computer -> c drive --> right click --> reformat :thumbsup:thumbsup

I heard an FBI agent saying burning a hd will make it completly unrecoverable.
|
why do so many of you have no idea how a harddrive actually stores data and think breaking it will make the data unrecoverable?
To make the data unrecoverable, the best bet is fire. Easily available since the stone age, and will make it impossible for even the most advanced data recovery techniques to read. |
I think the first clarification we need is whether this will be a task that you will be completing on your own time - or - if you're looking for the fastest way to destroy it as the authorities are breaking down your door! :winkwink: :1orglaugh
|
Electromagnet is your best bet.... get a big ring magnet, hook up a large battery and then pass the hard drive through the center... all data is destroyed and unrecoverable...
|
Drive a couple nails through it.

Interesting thread. Sounds like extreme heat is the way to go. I remember my old machine that had lots of files/content on the HD that I wanted to ensure were gone so I took a heavy hammer to it. Can`t beat a bit of destructiveness.

I will even email you the fucking MBR to help you in your imaginary restore process. I will load all the access codes to my clients VPN access + tokens, CRM, Budget and business plans. If you can restore them, you may sell them as you see fit? or how about you just shut the fuck up with your tinfoil hat theorycrafting? moron |
Have a drill??? Drilling a hole through the drive will do the trick
|
Download a shit ton of Tube vids. That'll destroy it.
