Having a large personal collection may make someone less willing to buy when money is tight....BUT people become desensitized to porn for the most part and need newer or more extreme things to do the trick for them.....so the fact that someone has a large collection probably implies the opposite of what you're assuming.
That's probably the person that's MOST likely to buy when they see a new appealing niche or a new girl in her first shoot.

New girls, fresh faces, it's what drives our industry. Always has and always will. :2 cents:

even though I agree with you completely - it is still the 'way things were'

tubes, galleries, freesites... they are all just the 'flyers'. even GFY is a great place to find what is new...

then its off to the Torrents, filesharing, forums, newsgroups... they have all the new stuff covered

no matter what else takes sales away... I believe that oversaturation of free porn by ANY method is what I name the primary killer

people aren't buying because they don't have to

While I do believe tubes are hurting demand the forums and the newsgroups are as bad or worse. Pornbb, hornywhores dot net, porn-w, planetsuzy, alt.binaries...the list goes on. Most of the larger programs have their site updates posted on these sites the same week or even the same day.

Steve, I think if you have someone who has filled a TB drive with content at their house, there is no stopping that guy from wanting more. You dont get 1000gb of porn without being addicted. The internet sits there like a fresh bag of dope for the addict...you really think he is going to stop? out with the old, in with the new is more like it

It's a good point.. but, I'm sure a lot of people delete stuff just as a lot of people keep stuff.

I personally clear out my /pr0n/ folder every month.

Cept for the really, really good shit.

For those of you who don't know, many Asian countries now sell computers, pre-packaged, with torrent software (or whatever you call it) already installed. So those sneaky zipper heads and stealing shit from day one and don't think anything of it.

When money is tight, I'm not going to bother with ANYTHING online. I have the ultimate collection already instantly available to me. But massive storage didn't exist 10 years ago, and I think that's why we all made more money THEN.

I believe MASSIVE PERSONAL STORAGE SPACE has hurt our business more than tubes and shady billing practices combined.

i wish i still had all my pr0n collected form10 years ago. there's a few models i loved back then who are totally gone now and whose names i'll never remember. I could go for a nostalgia fap...

You make an excellent point though. There's a lot fo hardcreporn consumers who are "collectors" and who have massive storage of pictures and videos. There's really no need to pay for anything. I never really considered this point.
