Porn Grounds 08-12-2009 07:18 AM

I can't check out I till get:

Our delivery system is temporarily unavailable. Please return later to purchase any items requiring delivery. We apologize for the inconvenience. Items available for shipping or in-store pickup may still be purchased.

SiMpLe 08-12-2009 07:18 AM

SIGH!! I want!! But I'm getting the error too - Today would have been a GOOD day if it went through lol

ShellyCrash 08-12-2009 07:21 AM

I'm trying to order and getting an error- "Our delivery system is temporarily unavailable. Please return later to purchase any items requiring delivery. We apologize for the inconvenience. Items available for shipping or in-store pickup may still be purchased."

JerryF 08-12-2009 07:26 AM

Damn getting that error too... crossing fingers I can get this to go through. Thanks for the find.

Lace 08-12-2009 07:31 AM

lol why even bother? no matter how much you people "think" you know about this - they're not going to honor it.

this surely isn't the first time it's happened and wont be the last.

Voodoo 08-12-2009 07:33 AM

Note: It says "Store Pickup Not Available"

Click on "Check More Stores" link below this if your city says CITY NAME, STATE - Available.

From there... you'll be taken to another page.

This page states that the Samsung - 52" Class / 1080p / 120Hz / LCD HDTV is available at the following stores:

Please Note: Important Information for Checking Stock in Stores online
Products that are AVAILABLE at a specific store will show the store name in bold (ex. Rockville MD).
Products that are UNAVAILABLE at a specific store will show the store name and address grayed out.

Then it lists a bunch of cities where it is available in "Bold".

Print this page out also. :)

ShellyCrash 08-12-2009 07:34 AM

I called their customer service, within a min or two it kicks you to a pre-recorded message that they had a pricing error on a "52 inch Samsung LCD Television" and they make it a point to say they will not be honoring any of these transactions. :(

Oh well.

Voodoo 08-12-2009 07:35 AM

I'm filming myself on their site, with that page. Then I'm going to film myself going to BestBuy and try to get them to honor it. First, I'm going to ask them if they honor their online pricing if they have the product in stock. Then I'll find out if they have it in stock. Then, I'll give them the printed out pages from their own site.

Voodoo 08-12-2009 07:37 AM

It now says "Sold Out Online"... but still says that it's available in the stores. LOL

JerryF 08-12-2009 07:39 AM

Whoever got an order in will have to keep us posted on the outcome

Voodoo 08-12-2009 07:48 AM

They just changed the price. $1699.99

jollyperv 08-12-2009 07:58 AM

Man, if you fuckers get that TV for that price, FUCK

brassmonkey 08-12-2009 09:03 AM

they erased the page hahahaha

SiMpLe 08-12-2009 09:06 AM

yea gone now - was going to try again lol

Iron Fist 08-12-2009 09:11 AM

Sorry but retailers have this problem everyday in newspaper and circular advertising and never honor OBVIOUS mistakes.

.

Choopa Phil 08-12-2009 09:13 AM

I have screen shots of the site, they arent going to honor it just get over it people lol. Best buy would have to honor like 100,000 tv's that everyone rushed to the site to get.

They just showed on my local TV news a bunch of people waiting in line at Best Buy to dispute their purchase. They all had printed out their receipts and were holding the papers in their hand.

The reporter said that Best Buy would not be honoring the price as it was clearly a mistake and they have a disclaimer that eliminates any liability. One guy in line said he ordered four and paid for them with his credit card. When told he would not be getting the TVs at that price he said he would have his lawyer look at the matter.

It was a simple typo mistake and there is no way best buy and any intentions of selling that TV for that price. As a business owner myself it would be devastating for people to exploit an honest mistake like that so there's no way I could take advantage of someone else's mistake. Those that have no problem doing it are not much better than looters in my opinion.

MikeFold 08-12-2009 10:15 AM

just featured on CNBC
hahahahaha

Agreed. Errors and Omissions Excepted. Anyone trying to get around an obvious mistake is just being a cunt.

Juilan 08-12-2009 10:23 AM

Sorry guys they don't have to honor the mistake, most courts of law see this the same way they see advertising mistakes made in the print circulars.

Well they're going to have to issue a mass of refunds because my online banking shows that my card was charged. It doesn't say pending or anything...It has the name Best Buy on the charge plus their phone number.

Yes your card was charge instantly, but bestbuy will take their dear sweet time to give you, the money back. Up to four weeks as they will mail you a check.

I bought new PC there it would not boot, took it back, since the PC cost $1,799.99 it was Bestbuy policie to return the money buy check . It took just under 4 weeks.

Choopa Phil 08-12-2009 11:13 AM

Odd.
Last tuesday we returned 3 tv's we had purchased for the office, 4k and change, processed the refund at the store back on the card in 2 days

scoreman 08-12-2009 11:36 AM

I just love it how people get all righteous and shit because they cant get something for nearly free.

"im gonna have my lawyer look into it"

that shit always cracks me up bc you just know that joker doesnt have a lawyer.

It sorta reminds me of the emails customer service gets that say, "refund this right now or you will be hearing from my lawyer!"

If your refund was for a cash purchase over X amount they send you a check. This takes weeks to arrive.
