I've built my own PC's since about 1995. In that time I've had MAYBE 2 viruses and that was before I learned how to avoid them. I know PC's inside and out......I don't know shit about Mac.....Yet hear I am stating that my new Mac is is the best laptop I've ever had.

You couldn't name one single piece of software that doesn't run on a mac if your life depended on it. Not only is most of the high end software made for mac and ported to a PC, but there really isn't any software that isn't available for the mac or has a higher end counterpart for the mac. Let alone the ability to run windows OS -inside- osx.

Actually they're not. A comparable windows machine would cost the same. Take a look at the high end hardware mac uses in their machines. Then take a look at the shitty generic stuff most PC's have. You get what you pay for, and a good PC costs just as much as a mac. If you can't afford a measly $2k for a computer you're in the wrong business. Anyone I know serious about their work is on a $4k+ computer.

Seriously man, all you posted is total bullshit and non sense. Macbook's are slightly more expensive but are much better and stable in every aspect. Compare it with Sony vaio and you'll see what I am talking about.
You can't find decent sony for less than grand and a half, and still it's not comparable with macbook pro.

i moved from a pc 6 months ago to a mac (and always used to be a mac hater). now i love my mac - the fact it doesnt crash every other day is just one of the reasons i love it :)

Yea I know -- they're Dells, oh well. I actually wanted an Asus or Sager, but couldn't pass up the deal. I also don't do graphics or video, just development work, so I saw no reason for a Mac.

I gotta say, I'm a PC guy all the way, but there are somethings that Macs can do as good or better. A lot of it is just a matter of preference. Me, I like to have more control over what my system does (which is why I still have XP instead of Vista). But that's not a knock on Mac users.

So, what can you do in XP that you can't in Vista?

I have a desktop tower i built 2 years ago, high end parts.. I have shut it down only once and that was cuz i moved to panama..

It DOESNT CRASh.. it hasnt crashed this year.. i run 4gb of ram on it...

I just reboot it once every 3-4 months.. jesus a well built pc is as good as a mac.. macs use regular components like ram, hard disk, etc..

its not like they are using special parts from god.. its the same shit in a nice interface
