Brainwashed sheep like the people in this thread create the demand that enables paparazzi to stalk celebs 24/7. Then, when those celebs buckle under the stress and eventually OD, their sentimental side takes over, and they whine and moan about how they were "too young".

Pathetic, really. If you like an actor, singer or whatever, watch their films or buy their albums, and respect their privacy.

I'm going to call it now, she died of an OD of some kind. Who dies at that age, naturally, from cardiac arrest?

Society puts celebs on a pedestal and that along with their body of work gives them a face.
Whether it's music, acting or sports it's something that the majority of people with access to some type of media can relate to.

On the other hand with the exception of the top brass, soldiers are faceless.

It truly is ass backwards and a shame.

I believe that people like Soldiers, Teachers, Doctors and good leaders are the true heros and should be treated as such. I'd much rather see a really great teacher get an NBA player's salary instead of the relatively small change they get now for such an important position.

So when a person dies that's in the public's eye people talk about it because they are someone most can relate to in one way or another. It doesn't mean their death was any more important than that of a soldier the public doesn't know.

People have seen and enjoyed the work(s) of people like Brittany, then to hear of her death at such a young age is quite saddening.

Is it sad that all these children die everyday - yes - however the difference is they are nameless and faceless to the world at large. Put a name, face and personality to them and guess what......

Then add into the equation that due to their celeb *status* the Brittany types in the world are seen as a success and people desire to follow in their footsteps. Success - money - adored by many - beautiful - blah blah blah...

Give me a break. No one here is saying she is elvis or lennon. Any and all news is posted here and people will say what they want, including yourself. Not much reason to try and make some kind of statement in a thread that was simply telling everyone that someone they saw in a bunch of movies died.

I just found out checking stats on my celeb blog and was shocked to see traffic up and all of the new traffic is to an older post of Brittany Murphy, so I was like WTF and went to check my position and that's when I saw a link to one of the news articles.

My aunt died at 31 of an aortic aneurysm, and she wasn't a cokehead. She was a heavy smoked, and that probably had something to do with it, but she certainly wasn't a druggy. You CAN die of heart related complications at a young age without being full of drugs...

TMZ has also learned Brittany Murphy's mother, who found Murphy unconscious in the shower and called 911, told paramedics her daughter had a history of diabetes.

Because not an awful lot of them die, what with the new tech and all...besides wasn't that a job hazard last I heard? It's not like I'm not grateful but that's what solders do.
