If their RV broke down and I showed up I would not have been mad that falls under shit happens. Not the case here, the case is BAD planning on their part. They had just got in from San Antonio, were beat and had to be in Vegas tomorrow. Of course we only have your version, but if you went for a look-see, were booked, and showed up and no one called you ahead of time to cancel, you waited around, you should get a kill fee. But why on earth would you hang around for four hours?

I have only paid kill fees a couple times; once when I booked a shoot, knowing I was sick but thinking I could pull it off, and half way through the shoot I had to send everyone home. We negotiated a kill fee based on how much work they had done. Another time I inadvertently booked two male models for the same shoot, I kept one and paid the other full rate. When it is my fault I pay. If something happens, shoot gets canceled for unforeseen circumstances, girl doesn't show, jackhammers show up outside, electric blackout, girl calls in sick at the last minute, etc., I do not pay a kill fee - we all take the loss.

I have the most difficulty with no-shows, drunks, late, no wardrobe, bad attitude, etc. from agency girls. I seldom use agencies. No talent or agency ever paid me a kill fee for their screw-ups. As in any other business personal referrals get the best talent. Most of my girls come from referrals from talent who have already worked with me. But even girls off craigslist are more enthusiastic, on time, reliable and prepared than most agency girls. The two agencies I do use are really on top of things, and I never have those problems from those agencies, both they and their girls are class-acts. With the exception of those two agencies the others are as flaky as their girls. I never re-book a girl who flakes, you should never book again with these people.

About the spelling. There is a built-in spell checker, when a little red line appears under the mis-spelled word that means it is mis-spelled. Right click and a correction appears, click on that. Makes you look professional, and people take you more seriously and don't make fun of you. That way you look as smart as you are pretty.

Besides that, I wasn't just sitting around for nothing. Maybe I didn't make that clear. I was sitting with the casting guy they had locally who was cool, with 7 other people and my husband i was doing a scene with. They were taking FOREVER on there first shoot, which was a "stunt" shoot, supposed to take 20 min tops they said (if you look at the site its not all sexual they put men thru pain and weird painful stunts). That shoot had started 45min late, we all were giving them a break and NOT complaining as we knew they just got in from Texas. Then after sitting around from 12pm to 3 the casting guy got a call on his cell, 10 min later he came back frustrated and had to send us all home. They wouldn't even do it them selves. Since they had only seen pics and used a local casting guy the producer and hostess chick had came over and met all of us, there was like 14 people, 4 went home immediately, I knew they would they had no place there at all. I stayed as did 7 others and my hubby, we were told shoots were on for us as planned.

And yes you only hear my side. My side is fact tho, I have nothing to embellish on. I really have 0 need to call out a company the size of RK with false info I'm REAL sure that wouldn't help me out when I am also trying to gain affiliates for my site and program I am working on.

That sucks ass. Yes they should have been decent enough to pay a "kill fee". I recall doing a shoot ....all was going well female talent was there.....and only two guys showed up.....the producer being professional was going to give us a kill fee for showing up and waiting 3.5 hrs but not shooting but at the last second they convinced one of the behind the lens guys to fill in (lucky he was recently tested as well!!!).

Whoever booked you sounds not like the pros at RK I know. They don?t pull that shit.

But then again this is the reason that "agents", "models" & "producers" should always work in concert together....no fuck ups....kill fees for cancelled shoots and replacement talent for the flakes that are irresponsible.

This time i cant blame the agent (or casting guy as I called him as he isn't my agent), I had answered an ad on CL, I went for a meet/greet in the hopes he wasn't dicking around. However he showed me he was real, took the pics I had sent him (they were better then simple snaps he would have got) and told me he would let me know if I was accepted. And I was called back, I'm sure the casting guy also lost money, he stated he is paid directly by RK from what they shoot while here during there "Road tours" This time it was the producer biting off to much then they could chew and it bit them in the ass and not just me but a group of people were blown off.

However we need a site like GFY directed towards talent, and get it really used like GFY. As this post is much better suited for a site like that, not a site based mainly off webmasters and tech guys.

That argument MIGHT make sense except it's unjustifiable to be paying affiliates $100 a sale (which NastyDollars is doing today if you haven't noticed the thread) while screwing talent out of time/money. Four hours?? That's not just being late or canceling at the last minute, that's just being totally douchey.

Making a sale to RK is easy -- putting on makeup, driving, and then sitting around for four hours? That's a lot harder/more of an investment than sitting at home in your sweats throwing up some galleries knowing that just by using their site names and keywords you'll attract traffic to your site and back to them without even sending them anything new. It converts itself.

Smokie could write a blog entry about how they screwed her, put up a bunch of links, and people would still join because they are good sites -- make your money back like that! Much easier than camming or modeling, that's for sure.
