I think the problem they are going to face in 10 and 12 is that they are pandering to the smallest possible base. Everyone is entitled to believe what they will but the more moderate 'big tent party' republicans were a much bigger threat then this new ultra conservative semi violent tea party that the RNC is kissing the ass of. The majority of Americans do not agree with their policies or rhetoric and now their tactics of vandalism and implied threats of violence. The republicans would do very well to distance themselves from these radicals and move more to the middle and quickly The democrats have their own problems, they are perceived as weak on defense and as spineless as a jellyfish, but they are now being considered by many to be 'republican lite' which is more centrist and appeals to a much larger percent of the population. I do not see them losing their majorities in either house at this point :2 cents: spaz |

Gambrinus is rather amusing. The idiots I usually deal with on this forum don't go through great lengths to try and make people think they're intelligent, but this kid does it without effort. Definitely amusing :) :) |

And finally, I'm glad you graduated high school. The problem is, it doesn't appear you went any further. :) |
C'mon, like I don't know who you are. That you aren't from Shelby. Please. You have no idea who you are playing with. I am going to enjoy this more than you know.

davidd, I think the part where people have been choosing to not buy insurance and thus not pay for others care is really where it comes down, whether we like it or not. Those who pay for insurance and need to get benefits from it are being gouged and dropped because they are sometimes loss leaders. And thats because the poor and homeless and people without insurance who have an emergency still have to be paid for somehow. Those who can and DO pay out of pocket afterwards are not the issue. The only people the insurance companies have to get money from or cut losses from.. are their dwindling paying clients. So of course, they do. I think it reached the point where enough people saw it was unsustainable.
Oh and I know there are provisions in the law that dont take effect immediately. Some take effect later, and some even later. I was replying to the post which said "it'll never see the light of day" which it already has of course. |
